Pelham is a city in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. It incorporated in July 1964 and is a suburb located in the Birmingham metropolitan area, Alabama which was home to over 1.1 million residents as of the 2020 census. At the 2000 census the population was 14,369, and has grown to 24,318 by the 2020 census, nearly doubling. It was named for Confederate Civil War officer John Pelham. == Geography == Pelham is located at 33°18′16″N 86°47′5″W (33.304581, -86.784620).According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 38.3 square miles (99 km2), 38.0 square miles (98 km2) is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km2) (0.89%) is water.

Dr Carr and his staff are THE BEST He is so dedicated to his patients and their families. Our sweet yellow lab golden retriever mix was recently diagnosed with cancer. Dr Carr and Lindsey came to our home to help us send our precious Abbie on to the Rainbow Bridge. He made sure she was comfortable and calculated the medications so she simply enjoyed being surrounded by her family loving her so that her last earthly memory was a happy one. Thank you for all the time you spent, Dr Carr. We are so grateful to you and your staff for providing Abbie with the best possible veterinary care and for being so sweet and gentle with her. You never rushed through anything when it came to her care, and our family is so pleased with the loving, expert care you provided to our sweet Grand Duchess of Ryecroft. Lol. She will forever be our sweet girl and thanks for the pawprint memoir you brought to her at-home euthanasia visit. We will cherish it. Ou have an amazing staff, and we are proud and very grateful to have you as our vet. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts. Dr. Carr and his staff are awesome! He is very caring with our 2 cats who are his patients. One of our cats hates going to the vet and gets extremely disgruntled upon arrival. Dr. Carr never misses a beat and is always very patient and loving with him. I highly recommend Dr. Carr for your animals!
