• They had to come back and reinstall the duck work of the heat pump properly so the condo would cool down because cold air was blowing through the wall onto the newly installed thermostat shouting it down prematurely leave the place 7 degrees warmer than set on the thermostat. We had a hot water tank installed as well in the laundry room which there guys removed the drain hose for the washing machine from the wall to drain the old tank, well they deny this of course there guys would never do that not there practise. Well it happened and the condo got flooded and the condo below when my 86yr old mother did her first load of laundry. Watch them closely take pictures so you have proof of what went on during your installation

• We tried to use this company a couple of times because we’ve seen them around the neighbourhood and wanted to support a local business. Unfortunately, our experience with their customer service over the phone was very disappointing. We initially assumed it might have just been someone having a bad day, so we called again at a later time. Unfortunately, the second experience was much the same. The person we spoke with seemed uninterested in helping us and wasn’t willing to explain the process for having our furnace repaired or replaced or answer our questions. To be clear, we can’t comment on the quality of their actual service because we never got that far. Based on our phone interactions alone, we didn’t feel welcomed as potential customers and ultimately decided to look elsewhere.

• We used brooms for a fireplace install on recommendation of a friend. We shopped around and found an insert that Brooms did not sell, but were willing to (almost) price match and have it installed within a couple days. During install, I had to leave the house to go to work. I came home to turn on the fireplace and it would not turn on. I was told later after I had to reach out as to why the fireplace was not working, that there is a faulty gas valve out of the box and they’ve ordered the part and will let me know when it’s in. After further inspection of the unit, there is debris inside the logs, and the glass of the unit is also dirty. It does not fit into the fireplace evenly, there is different amounts of space on each side, and upon asking them to take the faulty unit back - I was denied. So now I’m stuck with a very expensive faulty unit that I’m waiting to see if it will work. Upon further inspection of my home after install, the install team also left a used bottle of caulk, a caulking gun, and a 2x4 in my garden. Cannot recommend Brooms at the moment for a fireplace install.

• Lady that said to be a manager was very rude and irrespecutful on the phone, not customer oriented at all. While I explained issues having with my AC, she cut me off, elevated her voice like showing she was the authority. I felt very uncomfortable and I’m not coming back to Broom's. All these after being a loyal client and had spent a lot of money in their products, like AC, Fuenace & water heater. I believe someone with better customer service skills should deal with clients instead of her.

• We just had our old dead air conditioner replaced with a heat pump from Broom's. Let me tell you how it went. In one word INCREDIBLE. Right from the initial contact John was listening to our concerns and looking at various solutions. Everyone on this project was first class, it went so much better than we had imagined. It was not even a simple project, we wanted the location of the unit relocated further away from our back porch and to complicate matters we also wanted a ductless unit installed to cool our HOT second floor loft, ...and we wanted the units to be quiet. 100% success on all counts. • I used Broom for my furnace and AC so I contacted them regarding a problem I had with my hot water heater so I contacted Broom to determine if they could help me with the tank. The lady I talked to said she would have to get their owner to phone me. When a gentleman from Broom I told him about my problem and he immediately told I would have to replace the tank. I asked him how much that would cost and he told me it would cost $10,000 I said that was very expensive and he said the prices have really gone up. I have since gone to a store and I say the tank was $790 and I can only assume the labour wouldn’t be $9,210.

• We purchased and Broom's installed a Valor fireplace a few years ago. They have also replaced our furnace always with top notch service. Last week we noticed the fireplace remote not working properly. We went on Saturday unfortunately the showroom was closed but there was a phone number left for inquiries, We called and almost immediately were called back by Fabian the sales manager. we described out problem and he agreed the remote should be replaced. He told us he was on his way to the office and would check stock. Another callback confirmed one in stock . We returned to purchase the remote and Fabian also gave us a tutorial on programming it.
