• Diego recently came to our house to perform our 6-month maintenance. I am here to report my very favorable opinion of him and his work. He reworked the plastic pipe to make it easier to flush out the system with white vinegar. Also he replaced a part in the outdoor unit that was not operating at full efficiency. He took care of everything and did not try to sell us any parts or services that we did not need. I will request to have Diego come to our house when I request our next service in six months.

• I have used Central Air Control for 12+ years. I called them on Wednesday because my AC was making a loud noise in the outside unit so I thought it would be something to do with maintenance. They had their serviceman come on Thursday and I was told there was nothing wrong with the unit after he performed the $91 maintenance (which was just hosing down the outside unit which I already do once a month myself). At that point, the AC stopped cooling and the noise became louder. I called them again on Friday and then the serviceman said it was an electrical problem with a breaker. I had my electrician replace the breaker and the AC still didn’t work. I was 3 days with no AC and they didn’t even provide me with a temporary fix until we figured out it was the motor. My mom, stepdad puppy and me slept with no AC for three days until I called another company that came out immediately and placed a temporary motor until we were able to diagnose the problem. I am very disappointed in this company that I have used for almost 13 years since I would call them for service every year. I don’t recommend them.

• We had mold in our AC unit and Central Air Control cleaned the coils and inside the unit, flushed the lines and installed a UV Light to kill any mold spores unseen/prevent it from reoccurring. They also installed a new capacitor. We were shown the new products and removal of old ones, without me asking, which I appreciated. A repipe was also done in an area as it was improperly installed when the home was built. Diego was respectful of our property and left our home clean.

• Do not trust this company. I had annual maintenance performed and was told everything looked good, however, the unit did not turn on at all when the technician left. When he came back the following day, he said the motor was broken -- funny how I had no problems before he touched the unit, and how this was not mentioned to me during the original appointment. He says he heard a noise but it had gone away. The technician went outside to call the company then told me they would call me and left. The company did not call me, so I called them and spoke to a man who told me it would be $800 to fix the unit. I told him I paid for a service and ended up with a broken unit, and he said he had to call the technician, despite just having just spoken to him. He said he would call me back and he never did. I made several attempts to call and sent an email to customer service and still -- 5 days later I have not received a response via phone or email. I was left with no A/C on a weekend and had to hire someone on a Saturday to fix my issue. I discovered a slew of other issues with not cleaning the unit properly, etc., through this new technician. This company preys on people who just call the number on the sticker on their unit for service and trust that it's the right thing to do. They do not care about you - they just want your money.
