• Whether it is a small or major repair on our hvac system or a new mini split install, I can always count on Dial One Mears for fast, reliable service and fair pricing. The coil in our AC had to be replaced recently due to a leak. The technician added enough refrigerant to the coil to keep us cool until all the parts arrived, the office told us the coil was under warranty by Lennox, and the repair was made by Michael and another excellent technician. It is a pleasure to do business with this excellent company.

• We have been loyal Dial One Mears customers for many years across multiple properties, but the quality of their customer service has declined significantly over the past two years, and we will not be returning. It started when they sold us an annual maintenance plan, which covered our seasonal checkups and came with additional perks. Prior to that, they had always sent us postcard reminders to schedule those checkups. Once we were on the plan, the postcards suspiciously stopped. Given our busy schedules, we didn't think to schedule the appointments ourselves, and we ended up not using any of the services we had paid for upfront. By the time we called again (because our unit was having problems) the plan had already expired. The recent service experience made things worse. The first technician they sent out was friendly but inexperience and missed multiple issues. A couple of weeks later, our unit had the same problems and we had to call back. The second technician was more experienced and caught what the first had missed, but then verbally quoted us a very costly repair estimate. When we requested a written itemized estimate, the technician repeatedly stepped outside to call his boss (Adam) and ultimately told us that Adam wouldn't provide one. When I called Adam directly and pointed out that this was unprofessional, he agreed to send an estimate, but hours later, we still hadn't received it. To make matters worse, when we first discovered the recurring problem on a weekend and called the on-call technician, he was rude and unprofessional. He complained about the distance he'd have to drive, made it clear he didn't want to come, and tried to discourage us from requesting service. We are moving forward with a different company (which confirmed that they always provide written estimates before completing any work). It's a shame, because we were loyal customers for years. But between the maintenance plan, the inexperienced initial technician, the rude on-call experience, and the refusal to provide a written estimate, the trust is gone.

• One of our AC unit’s condenser and fan stopped working in early June. Our usual AC company assessed the issue and quoted nearly $10,000 for the repair. Unsure about the cost, we decided to get other opinions—and we’re so glad we did. We reached out to Dial One Mears, and they were incredibly responsive and kind. They came out the same day to inspect the system and not only confirmed the original issue but also discovered a leaking coil.
