I had a sewer line backup in my basement which flooded our A/C unit. I called Horizon and Andres arrived at my house a few hours later. The job took roughly 5.5hrs and Andres didn’t leave my house about 945pm that evening. He went above and beyond to help my wife and I get our A/C unit back in working order. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY- Lawyer and Consumer Complaints Involved. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! BEWARE: READ FULL REVIEW- FAILED INSPECTION, DISHONEST SALES TACTICS, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. UPDATE: If you needed any other reason to stay away, 6 MONTHS later and this is still not resolved. While they have fixed the issue identified by the county (only within the last 2 weeks by the way), another issue was identified: the units that we bought were energy efficient (highest level), YET THEY WERE NEVER INSTALLED CORRECTLY. Literally, they were never hooked up. Horizon failed to do the install correctly (confirmed by another electric company, and the county inspector). Horizon does NOT respond to communications- we have been calling DAILY for months, and we are told every time, that they will put a note in their system, they have to send the request to a different office within their organization, the person that we need to talk to isn't in, etc. In addition to the lack of communication, they cancel appointments same day (on multiple occasions). The amount of time and money (due to time away from work) that we have spent on dealing with Horizon issues is astronomical. There is no resolution because their method is AVOIDANCE. On top of all of that, there is still no resolution with the BGE rebate, again, due to their lack of communication. We are now getting a LAWYER and filling a consumer complaint with the state of Maryland. We recently had Horizon replace our entire HVAC system, at a cost of around $22,000. Before signing the contract, we specifically asked about BGE rebates — we'd seen information online suggesting they were available — and were told there weren't any. Shortly after the work was completed, we started receiving notifications from other HVAC companies actively advertising BGE rebates, (to the tune of $6-8k) directly contradicting what we'd been told. This is a HUGE price difference, and completely dishonest. On top of that, the installation failed the county inspection, and months later, Horizon still hasn't come out to fix the issues. We reached out to ask about the rebate situation, and months later we still have no answer. My husband has called nearly every day for weeks trying to get it resolved. Every time, he's rerouted to a different person, told it's been forwarded to another department, or informed that whoever handles it is out of office. He's been promised a callback "within 24 hours" repeatedly — not once has that happened. For a $22k job, we expected accurate information up front, work that passes inspection, and basic follow-through when there's a problem. Instead, it's been runaround after runaround with no resolution in sight. Save your time and your money. Go elsewhere!
