  • Not satisfied. During the initial call, a representative came to assess the feasibility of the installation and determine the required heat pump capacity. This visit is normally for planning the work and providing a quote. A few days before the installation, another "technician" was sent to walk around the house again. I made sure to be present and specifically told him that I wanted the new pipe to run in the same location as the old one. I even asked him if I needed to remove anything to facilitate the installation. He looked at me with a question mark in his face and didn't take any notes of what I said. The basement wasn't finished, but the framing was complete, so I expected my request to be feasible. On the day of the installation, I wasn't there. When I returned, I discovered that the refrigeration technician had ignored my wife's instructions to run the new pipe in place of the old one. He chose a different route, outside the framing. As a result, I now have to redo part of the framing to accommodate the pipe, otherwise it will be outside the walls. I don't understand the purpose of the "technician's" visit before the installation. It served no other purpose than to collect the outstanding payment. For an installation costing approximately $8,000 (estimated, as the quote was intentionally vague), I expected a minimum of rigor and coordination. The high total quote was justified by the number of people deployed for the installation. In the end, the refrigeration technician was alone to run the pipe. Perhaps if there had been two of them, they could have run the pipe behind the ventilation duct? The refrigeration technician told my wife he had thirty years of experience and that he had done "the best he could." If that's really their standard of quality, it's worrying. Installation which took place on June 9, 2026.

  • Many problems during installation (due to a lack of speed at all costs). Today (Sunday, June 28, 2026), the first breakdown occurred after 3 months of installation. I called the 24/7 number on the label for service, as stated in the warranty. I was told: "We don't have a solution for you. The on-duty technician and support don't respond if you have a breakdown at the end of the week (especially if you're a residential customer)." Even though the warranty should cover 24/7, as indicated on the heat pump label! According to the technician, the boss doesn't want to pay double time, so you can just sit there and die in an oven while you wait.
