• Merrit services my friend's condo HVAC. After getting unhelpful and rude service from my condo's HVAC servicer, I contacted Merrit. I received very professional phone and in person service. Please note that having No Ac at the height of the heat wave in July was not fun. When I explained that I was having a visitor from abroad in 2 days, I was provided with service the next day. I would use this company again if I have problems with my AC or heating.

• So the business relationship I've had with Merrit was overall a positive one. There were some minor issues getting ahold of them initially for the appointment, and getting a timeline for replacement was a bit difficult for them to convey. However they did make pretty close to their initial 5-week window from order so I'll give them that, just communication when calling to book, and timing on replacement could be better (email your customers when you are at the initial window expectation instead of the other way around) Now I will give them credit, however frustrating the wait for the unit was and the unclear timeline, they did send their best on install day, the technician was clean I couldn't even tell they were here other than the new unit. The technician went out of his way to go to Walmart and get an air filter and when they didn't have the right size for the unit they modified it properly to fit! They even went above and beyond seen we were doing wash cleaned out the duct work for that. (The technician knew we were in a rental unit so it was atrocious of course as we just moved in). I have to say they made an extreme effort to turn around my frustration getting this resolved, after all I felt I personally brought them the business as you can imagine convincing a landlord to replace an HVAC unit can be a difficult task. Merrit recommended a full replacement as the cost to repair and the chance of repeated leaks of gas into my home from the indoor unit was the only route for a proper permanent repair, so their clear recommendation allowed me to leverage this to get my new condo into a habitable shape. Whomever they sent today was their best and in this economy it's rare to see a business to strive to have a good experience even when things get a bit rocky they continued to put their best foot forward after. So for Merrit all and all I would hire them for my personal condo when I get out of this place! I don't think you will be able to get this level of service and repair quality anywhere else, and I work in a very technical role myself. At the end of the day tenant or owner they treat them as their customers and will work hard to ensure your satisfaction.

• A staff from Merrit for filter change, said drain was clogged and need to unclog it. He left with messy. I booked plumber to unclog drain. After drain unclogged, ac still not working. Once I called the office to negotiate, they disregarded it and even hanged up the phone on me with excuses of others priority services to be done.

Once the technician arrived with only few minutes checking our AC we were told that nothing much to do to fix it as he blamed on engineering design and instead a quotation he handle a bill charging hundreds of dollars for a visit with no service executed. If you have to call them better have costs upfront or you might end up paying a high bill for nothing.
