• Edit: We returned to One Hour Air because of our positive experience with Mike Bell back in 2023. Our compressor went out, and I will say that they provided a very fast service call. They were prompt, professional, and diagnosed the issue quickly. The reason for the 3-star review: The stars I’m giving are for the prompt service and quick diagnosis. Unfortunately, the pricing we were quoted for the work we needed was significantly higher than what we ultimately paid elsewhere. We were quoted $17,500–$18,000+ for a new system, or over $9,000 for the repair. The repair was not recommended, and the replacement option was strongly encouraged. We weren’t comfortable making a decision like that the same night. We have young children, and our house was around 85°, so we understood that it was an uncomfortable situation and wanted to make sure we were making the right decision before committing to such a large expense. We decided to get a second opinion, and the next morning we found another reputable company that was able to repair everything for $2,700 with a warranty. Everything is working great now, and we were honestly surprised by the difference between the quotes. I want to emphasize that we had a good experience with the promptness and professionalism of the service call. My concern is specifically the significant difference in pricing. If you are facing a major HVAC repair or replacement, I would recommend getting a second opinion before committing to a large expense. In our case, doing so saved us thousands of dollars. ***** 5 star review from 2023 ***** Mike Bell was so knowledgeable and efficient! • ⚠️ Warning to Homeowners: Avoid This Company Do not use this company. We had a warranty replacement on our downstairs evaporator coil in Prosper, Texas. I explicitly asked if the entire system was pressure-tested and checked. Their team assured me yes, the full system was tested. This was completely false. They charged an astronomical $2,400 for labor aloneon a single covered warranty coil, completely skipped the upstairs unit, and left us with a non-functioning upstairs system that was completely bone-dry of refrigerant. To make matters worse, they messed up the wiring on our zone board. When they had to come back and correct their own mistake, they had the audacity to charge me an additional $500 for the correction. Discovering that a company lied about a full-system diagnostic and billed me to fix their own technical blunders just to walk away with nearly $3,000 is infuriating. This is deceptive, negligent, and terrible service. I am severing ties completely, filing a formal complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) under license TACLB75807E, and taking my business to an honest, independent local contractor. Save your money and go elsewhere.

• Texas Summer of 26’ heat and our AC stopped cooling altogether. Called up 1 hour and they had a tech named Zach come and inspect the unit. He diagnosed the problem and easily explained that we needed a replacement motor. Luckily we had a great warranty since they installed this new unit 4 years ago, so the part was ordered and we waited. The only complaint is that there was no ETA from when the part was coming in, but I believe that’s more of a FEDEX/Distributer problem and not these guys. Once the part came in, I’d received a call from their dispatch promptly and Zach returned again w/the new motor and changed it by hand. He was quick, thorough, and allowed me to ask questions about the previous motor as to take preventative measures moving forward. In the end our AC was fixed and if anyone needs a tech referred, ask for Zach. (Just don’t do it when I need a tech 🙏)
