• My 20 year old furnace had a problem with the mother board. My son in law recommended South Service Heating and Air Conditioning. They sent a service tech. I decided because of the age of the furnace I would get a new one. Owner Michael came the next day and gave me a quote. I contacted the office and spoke to Gwen. A very pleasant and friendly lady. Excellent customer service. Made arrangements to install furnace on Easter Monday with Michael. I got a call from Gwen suggesting maybe do the job on Tuesday instead because supplier may be closed for Easter. Smart thinking but if I wanted to do it on Monday they would do it. I decided to do it on Tuesday. Michael had the old furnace out and the new one in in no time. He had to go to another service. Tech Asad took over and completed the install. Everything was nearly done. He did a great job and he cleaned up everything. I was surprised how clean everything was. • The time had come to replace our 16 year old boiler. Mike had brought to our attention that the installation of our old boiler had been done incorrectly. Our old boiler never gave us the heat we demanded, especially in cold weather. There was always a residual smell of gas, that was not leaking from the valves. I told Mike that I didn’t wish to buy an American made boiler. Mike immediately went to work, researching an excellent Canadian made alternative. So, on Valentine’s Day, after a tireless precision installation done by Mike and Rahim, we welcomed our NTI Boiler. It fired up, and the rads in our house immediately warmed up. It was a miracle. Even in the coldest weather, our house is finally warm. Mike noticed that the exterior exhaust vent of our water heater was directed towards our boiler air intake. His team member Rahim came the next working day to replace the venting. We are so grateful to Mike, Rahim and Gwen for their excellent, caring service from start to finish. • I was referred to Mike from South Service Heating through a friend and received an immediate response as out a/c unit died on one of the hottest for the summer 2024. We had initially received a review on the state of the unit and we were told to replace the unit (at outrageous costs). On an examination of the air conditioning unit, Mike determined that it would be possible to have it repaired which could buy us at least 1-3 years further use as the system was considerably old. When I agreed for the repairs to be done Mike said he was looking at 3 days to mobilize ( he came on the Thursday afternoon) but after feeling the conditions in the house he said he would make arrangements to have it done at the earliest possible time. He later called us back and said he would have someone out the following morning. Our unit was repaired on Friday and we had a FANTASTIC weekend feeling cool and not having to be stressed of mobilizing funds to replace the unit. Mike & Abdul (who did the repairs) were very professional in their diagnosis of the problem and more importantly understood what we needed. The gives it to you straight (no sugar coating). This is an important factor in the service industry. Too many companies are just about profit margin. I will fully endorse South Service Heating & Air Conditioning Inc.
