• Service itself was great. But if you’re going to give a customer an estimate/quote and the job takes half the time to complete, then the charges should be adjusted accordingly. If this was a fixed price, make that clear. Otherwise, don’t say it took x amount of time to do offsite work and driving when that clearly isn’t the case. I would have been happy to pay more if the work had taken more time than was estimated but it is absolutely not fair to end up paying for labour that I did not receive and to not receive an invoice with a clear indication of how many hours were worked. Again great technicians, great coordinator but this inflexibility with billing means I won’t be using their services again.

• Daniel called at 1:45 to say he would be at our place at 2:15. (We were given a window of 12 - 2 pm. He called at 2:15 to say he couldn't make it as something came up at the office. Today was the only day we could schedule as we were going away the next day and in fact held off leaving today as wanted to lock down a quote before we left and had actuallyplanned to leave yesterday. We hung around waiting, putting off many things we had to do. This is such a dissapointment and no way to run a business. In response to your reply, Perhaps you should have cancelled in the morning if you knew you were short staffed. You could even have explained the situation on the phone but I got nothing but something came up in the office. Why on earth would Daniel called 1/2 an hour before and confirm that we would be home?

• These guys know what they're doing. I called in and Micah helped schedule me for the next day—he was super knowledgeable about the process. Owen was the tech who came out, and he was friendly and professional. He was the only one who went through the proper steps to diagnose my HVAC issue and actually FIX it. I'd had three previous techs (from Thomson Industries, Moore and Russell, and Milani) who all misdiagnosed the problem—claiming it was a thermistor issue or refrigerant leaks—and delayed the repair to another day. Thank goodness cuz it gave me the chance to switch to Atmosphere. Owen performed a full leak test on the spot, confirmed there was no leak, did some deep vacuuming, recharged the lines, and voila—the AC was working again. THANK YOU Owen, Micah and Atmosphere! I'm writing this even before getting billed, as I'm sure they're much more reasonable than the others (Milani quoted $2,500+ materials just for the leak search). Update - Moore and Russell quoted $1000 + mats. Milani quoted $2500 + mats. Atmosphere final charge was $905 (labour and material).

• My furnace was putting out way too much carbon dioxide and Fortis said to stop using it until the problem could be diagnosed and fixed. I called Trevor at Atmosphere and he put me the calendar for the first available date and then was able to come a whole day earlier. This was all during the coldest weather of the year! His tech was thorough and certified the furnace as sound. The problem was likely a buildup of ice on the exhaust due to the really cold temperatures. Very pleased with the service and I would recommend them and will use them again.

• We contacted Atmosphere AC to relocate our existing heat pump to the other side of our apartment. Unlike many companies who did not bother to return our call, they responded to our request immediately. When Dylan came by to give us a free quotation, he suggested the optimal location for the unit. After relocating the unit we asked him to help diagnose and fix an annoying high pitched whistle the system had been making from the very first days. Dylan contacted the manufacturer and obtained for us a free replacement circuit board which solved the problem. Suffice it to say we are very pleased with his service and willingness to go the extra mile to help us with our unusual issue. We now have a very well placed heat pump and a very cozy living room!
