Russ and Andrew were able to come out only a couple of hours after I called and provided me with a quote and some options for a new furnace. I never once felt pressured to make a decision which tends to factor into my choice with a large purchase like this. I received 3 other quotes and they had not only the best price, but best warranty. I spoke with Russ, and after a quick conversation he was happy to come take a look—even though it was a Sunday morning in the middle of a snowstorm. • At a friends' place and the thermostat appeared dead, it was -9 outside. The batteries had corroded in the thermostat, cleaned the contacts, put the new batteries and the thermostat came back to life. Unfortunately when the thermostat was reinstalled it turned back off. Having used Bow previously at my place for furnace and A/C as well as my parents and girl friends I sent Russ a text. He advised he was unavailable until the next morning but he provided me with the steps to try and it worked. A fantastic experience yet again. I tell everyone

• Russ Bow put in our furnace back in 2011 and it has worked wonderfully since until recently. Last Thursday our furnace died and we were so worried with the upcoming snow storms in the forecast. We called him on Friday, and he made sure we had a temporary heat source to make it through the weekend. He and his son were here promptly on Monday morning and our house had heat again within in an hour. The price with parts and including the house call came to under $500 which was a pleasant surprise. He works with budgets and makes sure you get the best deal possible. Even back when we had our furnace installed, he made sure we were able to get the maximum rebates that were being offered by the government at the time for people to upgrade to high efficiency units. I recommend him 100% without hesitation, for old fashioned good quality customer service at a reasonable price. You will NOT be disappointed with Bow Home Comfort, try them out. • Russ and Andrew are a great team for your HVAC needs. No upsell, no gimmicks, and great pricing. Prior to contacting them for an HVAC upgrade, I had a very good idea of the furnace and AC that I had wanted. I had performed calculations using climate data from ASHRAE for London, Ontario, and determined that a high-efficiency AC (SEER 16+) just wasn't worth it due to how few hours it ran per year. Based on the increased cost of a high-efficiency unit compared to a regular unit (SEER 13), and the cost of electricity per kWh, the payback time would have been 15-30 years. Another contractor tried to convince me that I just HAD to have a SEER 20 AC because it would save me money after a few years, which is absolutely not true. If I had lived in Florida or some hot climate, then yes, it absolutely would have been worth it due to the higher temperatures and the longer cooling season, but not in Ontario. When I discussed my needs with Russ and Andrew, they agreed with me and did not push me to purchase a pricier high-efficiency unit. They also did not recommend any work that was unnecessary. The team completed the work in a timely manner with quality workmanship, and everything works perfectly. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely use them again.
