  • Its isn't easy to find a way to replace obsolete thermostats in many old, or newly built condos, especially with fancoil HVAC units that offer variable speed fans in "two or four pipe" (hot & chill water) systems. Most condo builders still instal ancient analog thermostats, which are inflexible, not WiFi-enabled, and user unfriendly that they are, difficult to operate. All this only because they are cheaper! Having moved from a modern home with 4 zone HVAC & thermostats that are efficiently linked to an integrated home automation system, to outright HVAC obsolescence, was very disappointing. Marcel found a compatible thermostat, researched it's utility for our particular fancoil units and had them installed. Took time for the thermostats to arrive, but that wasn't his fault. They work well. I can now not only choose between 3 fan speeds, but select an auto fan speed function depending on how smartly I want the thermostat to move between desired temperature set points. It's WiFi-enabled, so I can do much of this remotely, along with several other features. Their installer knew what he was doing and my thermostats are finally working as they should, in a comfortable home. Well done!
