Had Consumers Choice (Louie) clear a bogus safety violation placed on my gas system by Lakeside as part of Enbridge's meter replacement program. Logan, the technician who showed up, was very professional and extremely accommodating. He cleared the tags and explained the process he used to debunk a gas leak claim by Lakeside. This is a very easy company to deal with and the are now my go to HVAC supplier. Great job!

My central AC stopped blowing cold air right during a heatwave. I was worried it would be a costly repair. The technician arrived, diagnosed the issue within 20 minutes, and explained everything clearly. It turned out to be just a faulty capacitor, which they replaced on the spot for a very reasonable price. They were professional. For the past week, our home had become unbearable — stuck at 29°C in the middle of summer with no relief in sight. I assumed the culprit was our old Honeywell thermostat, so I ordered a Google Nest and installed it myself following every instruction carefully. Still nothing worked. That’s when I reached out to Louie — late at night, after hours. Despite being busy, he didn’t hesitate. He jumped on a WhatsApp video call to walk me through troubleshooting remotely. When none of those fixes worked, he made a decision that had nothing to do with business obligation and everything to do with character: he came over anyway. Louie did a thorough inspection and found two issues that had nothing to do with the thermostat brand — a faulty A/C component and incorrect thermostat wiring from the original builder. He fixed both, set up the new thermostat properly, and by the time he left, our home was already cooling down. We’re at 24°C as I write this. For after-hours emergency work, parts, and the kind of calm professionalism that makes a stressful situation feel manageable — his pricing was more than fair. Louie didn’t just solve a problem. He showed up for a neighbor in genuine need, and that’s not something you forget. He’s earned a customer for life and, more than that, our family’s sincere respect. 🫡

Louie was recommended by a friend. We had a furnace that was 16 years old and the motor burnt out. Louie came and analyzed the problem and put in a temporary motor to at least get me some heat. They followed up with installing a new furnace a couple of days later. What a fantastic job they did. The two guys left the place clean and tidy and got the job done in a timely manner. Adrian took the time to show me what was done and how things operate. Not only was the furnace replaced but all the gaps and holes left in the old sheet metal ducts were taped up and fastened properly. Would highly recommend Consumers Choice to anybody.

Louie and his crew made this experience an enjoyable one. I had the furnace, hot water tank and air conditioner replaced. I had heard stories of others experiences with other contractors and was a bit apprehensive but Louie explained everything and put my mind at ease. The crew arrived as scheduled. They were courteous and professional in everything they did. They answered all my questions and fully explained things to my satisfaction. When the work was complete they cleaned up removing the old items plus all materials and debris. When I had some follow up questions, Louie was easily reached and responded within minutes.
