Ian was professional went through all the checks. Provided all information and showed what the issue causing the problem was . Showed how an upgrade to the tank drain would be benificial in the future and the company specifically Dakota worked out a little better price to fit my budget. Trustworthy company.

I purchased a brand-new multi-stage air-conditioning system from Desert Diamond Air in May 2026 for approximately $14,000, expecting improved efficiency and reliability compared with the 21-year-old system it replaced. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. Since the installation, my electric bills have been approximately 40% higher—and during the hottest months, nearly double what I was paying during the comparable period last summer. Because I have solar, I contacted APS to verify that my solar system was producing normally. I also had my solar panels professionally cleaned. There was no issue with my solar production. The only significant change was the installation of this new air-conditioning system. I recently had a technician come out because the system was not operating properly. During that visit, I was informed that the wiring from my house to the outdoor unit had failed. A temporary repair was made, and I was told that Desert Diamond could provide a bid if I wanted them to permanently rewire it. More concerning, the technician also discovered that the new multi-stage system had not been properly configured at installation. It had been left operating on a single stage at 100% velocity, rather than being properly configured to utilize the multi-stage functionality I paid for. This is particularly frustrating because I specifically raised concerns about the system shortly after installation. During the post-installation inspection, I told the technician that the unit was extremely loud—significantly louder than my 21-year-old system—and that when it kicked on, the entire house would noticeably shake. I was assured that there was nothing wrong and that the increased noise was simply because the new system was getting better airflow. I have since spoken with other HVAC professionals and researched the issue extensively. Based on that information, I am extremely concerned that operating a multi-stage system at 100% velocity rather than properly utilizing its staged operation can substantially affect its efficiency and energy consumption. I contacted Desert Diamond Air and asked whether the company would take some responsibility for the situation, particularly given the substantial increase in my electric bills following the installation. I was essentially told that the setting had no meaningful impact on my energy usage. I strongly disagree with that assessment, particularly given what was discovered during the recent service visit. The issue here is not simply that something went wrong with a new air conditioner. Equipment can fail. The issue is that a $14,000 system appears to have been improperly configured from the beginning, I raised concerns about its abnormal operation shortly after installation, those concerns were dismissed, and I subsequently experienced significantly higher energy costs. I estimate that this mistake has cost me approximately $800 in additional electricity expenses during the hottest months of summer, on top of the $14,000 I spent for a system that was supposed to be more efficient than the one it replaced. What is most disappointing is the company’s unwillingness to acknowledge the problem or make a reasonable effort to address the financial impact of an installation/configuration issue that was ultimately discovered by their own technician. A company earns trust not when everything goes perfectly, but in how it responds when something goes wrong. In my experience, Desert Diamond Air has not demonstrated that accountability. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Adam did an amazing job with my A/C units’s routine seasonal servicing today. Just like the wonderful previous technicians from Desert Diamond Air, he arrived right on time, was extremely polite, and treated my home with respect by keeping everything clean. He thoroughly inspected the system, gave it a complete tune-up, and explained exactly what he did to ensure it runs smoothly all season long. Adam is honest, professional, and highly knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to trust this team for my future seasonal maintenance—highly recommended!

Really took the time to make sure everything was okay today for our next round of hot summer here in Arizona. I would definitely recommend him! We will definitely ask for him next time around! I'm so glad I found a great company that is honest and easy to work with. The staff is also very friendly and helpful 🙂 June 6th 2024, since Dakota has now moved into another position, we were recommended Nixa. She next came out today for my mother's unit. Very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. I was very confident with her expertise! Did a great job 👍 thank you very much Nixa for your great customer service. Desert Diamond Air is awesome. I keep referring people to your company for the awesome customer service. Keep up the great work! 😁

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding service from start to finish! I can’t say enough good things about Damien. He came out initially to diagnose an issue with our AC blower motor and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful throughout the entire process. When it came time to make the repair, he explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure the job was done correctly. What really stood out was the customer service. From our very first phone call to the final completion of the repair, everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous, and genuinely focused on taking care of us. Damien went above and beyond, and it’s clear that he takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. Our AC is back up and running, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great company, great service, and an outstanding technician. If you need AC service, I highly recommend giving them a call — and if you’re lucky enough to get Damien, you’re in great hands!

Daniel was the tech that came out and he didn’t an excellent job answering all my questions and concerns. This is probably the first time that I can recall where all my issues were finally resolved. Also, thanks to the service manager Dakota who not only was accessible to review my concerns but got me on the schedule rather quickly to have them resolved.

Today we had an A/C inspection done by Daniel. We have 2 inspections a year so we can stay on top of any problems. Daniel was prompt, very nice and was thorough. It's awesome to have a company that does such a good job and is never pushy. Their service contract is awesome and we definitely believe it saves on repairs and head aches. It's reasonably priced and saves us money when we DO need any repairs. We totally trust this company and also appreciate their service people and office personnel.

It started with Cody three years ago doing PM on our system and pointing out flaws that I was aware of, but at the time we could not afford as a secondary home, but after selling our primary home , our secondary became our primary home. After being told Cody was no longer doing PM's in the field (promotion ) they scheduled Steve to do our PM's where he also suggested an APS audit which we did, and the independent contractor, Jason, did a fabulous job. At the end of his whole house audit ( in and out up and down ) he showed us a video of his findings, wow! This same information was sent to Desert Diamond, where Steve returned to us and explained the same results. At this time , we were ready to make some changes. This was now going to be our house year round. Without going into detail of all we had done ( lack of space) we did major improvements and could not be happier. Service was exceptional, attitudes were great, explanations were given when needed, clean up was completed, instructions on operating the thermostat were given, and asked if I understood, and some information repeated when I didn't quite get it. A special shout out to Cody, Steve, Jason, Dave , JC and the other two helpers who's name escape me at the moment. Thank you all so much!

We’ve had great experiences with Desert Diamond. The techs Arturo and Daniel are very courteous and professional. I could tell he knew what he was doing. A thorough inspection was performed and a detailed report with plenty of pictures was provided so we could understand what was checked and any potential issues. I’m very impressed with the overall quality of service. We’ll definitely continue to use this company going forward and highly recommend to others. Update: several months after the inspection we had an old duct come loose in our attic, Arturo came at 10PM and fixed it quickly. He was so nice even having to come out so late. Can’t say enough good things.

I first talked with Steve from DDM at the end of April. Our AC either needed repair or to be replaced. We were also looking at installing a separate mini split system elsewhere. Steve was very informative and honest. We decided to have our AC fixed by the current company maintaining it to try to avoid a big expenditure at the time. I kept Steve's info. On Sep 14th that same AC unit broke down again for a different reason and the repair this time was going to be $2-$3K. The prior repair was $800. This unit was a Rheem. Don't ever buy a Rheem! We decided to replace it and Steve at DDM had what we wanted. A Bosch Inverter Ducted Packaged Unit. According to Steve it's better than a 2 stage AC in that it modulates through its entire range of 3.5 - 5 tons. This means it can run at slower speeds to keep the space at the desired temp more accurately than a 2 stage unit using less electricity. We have solar so that is important. I spoke with two other AC companies back in April to get options, Parker N Sons & Benefit Air. DDM was the only one who had the Bosch unit which was cheaper than a 2 stage trane. Last Friday I called Steve at around 3pm to see about getting the Bosch unit. He worked us into the rest of his schedule that afternoon and by 6pm we were on the schedule for replacing our broken AC the following Wednesday. They showed up in time at 6am to do the job and were done by 9am. So far the service has been good, we'll see how well this Bosch unit fars in our heat and works with the solar system.
