• The company came out quickly, the tech was super friendly and even covered his shoes in our home, which I greatly appreciated. However, he told us a bunch of things were wrong with our unit that turns out were not actually wrong, left screws on our roof instead of re-screwing them in, and talked us into the maintenance plan because of the fear he gave us about our systems leaking oil. Turns out, the part he said was leaking doesn't even use oil. They are sealed bearings and the fan motor doesn't contain oil to leak out. We were quoted over $6,000 to clean both units and fix our "leaky" outside fan motor. The part the tech claimed needed to be replaced is only a $300 part. We called a week later to cancel the yearly service contract and only pay the $90 service fee. We were told it was canceled and someone would be reaching out. However, there's still only the service plan charge on my card showing they did not cancel. We called again today and first got an AI agent saying a manager would call. The person who called told us AGAIN someone would be calling during business hours to follow up. But we've been through this song and dance before and no one canceled our contract. I refuse to pay for a year's worth of service I will never use because this company had lost my trust due to deceptive business practices. Not only that, if they aren't, in fact, canceling our contract, are they going to try to charge us forever because it auto-renews? Super shady. I'm sure the tech was just doing what he was trained and I don't want to list his name because I don't want this blamed on him. It's the overall company I have an issue with. They are the ones refusing to call us back about canceling our contract.
