  • Worst company and customer service I’ve ever dealt with. The first red flag was that they charged my credit card the full service amount several days before they even arrived. The technician, Angel, showed up and spoke no English. A second person, who appeared to have little knowledge of AC repair, was brought in to translate. After two service visits, my AC unit still wasn’t repaired. When I complained, they tried to charge me for a third visit. I called another AC repair company, and they diagnosed and fixed the problem in 30 minutes…a clogged condensation drain tube. After, my AC works perfectly. I called Figlia three separate times asking to speak with a manager. Each time, I was told the manager was either busy or in a meeting. I sent an email as well and never received a response. I paid Figlia over $400 for a repair that wasn't completed, had to hire another company to actually fix the problem, and couldn't get anyone in management to address my concerns. I highly recommend NOT calling Figlia & Sons if you need your AC unit repaired.

  • My building uses HVAC’s, which are a huge headache and much more expensive than window ACs. This incident happened 2 years ago but I’m still furious and as I’m looking thru google to find service for my HVACS I want to contribute my experience with this company. I called to make a routine appointment at the end of the winter to service my 2 units. I was referred to Figlia by my building. Ok no problem right? They’ve been here before, they must know the routine. When the appt came, they did not bring the COI. I do not understand how a company who works in these buildings every day can forget a COi. If I forgot what I needed to work my clients for sure would no longer use me. So I give them another chance. They make the appt and no one comes. I called Figlia and they said the technicians could not enter the bldg. I called downstairs and NO ONE SHOWED UP!! What kind of nonsense is this?? I am self employed and when I have people come to work in my apt I have to give up any jobs I may have and not make any money that day. I cannot tell you how furious I am. If you make an appt with these people just be aware that some shenanigans like this may happen. I will never call Figlia again and anyone who asks me about them in my bldg is told this story. This incident cost me 2 days of work.

  • We have used Figlia for years and they have always given great, professional service. We have 4 separate hvac units in in condo, and we have used Figlia to service or replace all of them. Great team.

  • A brand new unit we bought less than 6 years ago is already dyng. Also, they play a lot of money games (charge extra for doing a standard COI, don’t come out until they bill your card in advance), and their customer service got nasty after we placed our original order. The machines are much much louder than their Ice-Age counterparts. Why I dealt with these guys I'll never know.

  • Hi, your team came to fix my ACtoday unit but wound up just taking it without letting me know. I can't get a hold of you or them for a return or fix date and it is a heatwave. The ac unit is just empty now. Can you please let me know how to resolve this? They gave me no paperwork and just had me sign some random thing saying it was fixed. Super poor service as you also came at the one time I asked you not to despite three day of phone calls, coming from you proactively to help me and the drivers or workers just ruined it all. They also came to my building twice before at the wrong hours which bothered the lobby.

  • Terrible service. They sell defective AC units that break down and then want to charge thousands of dollars to repair them. Beware!

  • Figlia & Sons HVAC – Terrible Service, Beware! I truly wish I had done more research before hiring Figlia & Sons: the D- rating on the Better Business Bureau and low rating on Yelp are accurate. I had a series of HVAC units that needed servicing, and this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. They will not try to repair your PTAC units, even if the problem is simple or clearly fixable. It's clear that their business model is focused on upselling expensive new units for a brand that they own, instead of providing the service you actually hired them for. Worse still, they charged for services without ever explaining the costs upfront, such as steam cleaning and bringing the units back to your apartment as a “reinstallation fee”. I paid $500 for an "assessment" of three PTAC units, but unfortunately, no real inspection ever took place. Two of the units were removed without even opening the front covers. Instead of actually diagnosing anything on-site, they just took the units back to their shop. The third unit, was quickly dismissed by the technician, who claimed the E9 error “couldn’t be fixed” and told me to avoid running the unit for long periods. When I followed up and asked about possible solutions like adjusting the pitch or cleaning the drain pipe, the technician insisted he had already cleaned the pipe—only for us to later confirm that the unit doesn’t even have a drain pipe. After they returned the two PTAC units to my apartment, I realized that the second unit wasn’t blowing any air at all. When I called the company to report that a unit that was working before now wasn’t, they flat-out refused to send anyone back to look at it. And then the owner called me — not to take responsibility or offer a solution, but to yell at me and blame the issue on my “12 to 14 year old” unit (it's only six years old). This company gaslit me from the beginning — refusing to do thorough inspections, dismissing fixable issues, and pushing me toward buying new units instead. If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not use Figlia & Sons. There are plenty of HVAC professionals out there who are transparent, respectful, and competent. This company is none of those things. Stay away.

  • Unbelievably bad customer service. No call, no show for appointment. And they don’t accept checks and charge a “service fee” on credit cards on top of being double the cost of any competitor. Awful approach to business. They’ll shut down soon enough. Take a look at Yelp and the BBB before calling these dregs.

  • Mark AC installer was Excellent and efficient and fast service. Very knowledgeable.

  • I am extremely disappointed with this company. I purchased airconditioners from them over the years and the last NEW A/C broke down twice in approximately three months. The second time I was given an estimate of over $900 to fix the A/C which was under warranty. The reason for the excessive charge I was told was that it was not the airconditioner but the pipes(?) . I had it fixed for $150.00 elsewhere and the question of the pipes never came up. This summer, 2025, I called them again to repair the A/C in the living room. As soon as they left the same problem repeated, this happened on two separate visits. When I called the company to speak with the staff concerned I was told he was out or at lunch and would call me back, no one called back until today, July 22nd. approximately 3 weeks later. I said to that person that I am disappointed with the service I received and was explaining why to him and he cut me off saying he did not need all the details and he hung up on me. Based on the above information I will not be dealing with them in the future.

  • We were long-time clients of this company, but the way they treated us and scammed us deserves my time to write this review. We had a broken pipe in the HVAC that caused a flood. After arriving 6 hours late to their appointment, the techs says it's too late to start the job and he leaves, saying he can come back in 4 days (that week the temperature was single digits, but they did not care). Four days later, when the techs come, they tell me it will take 30 min to fix this pipe. When I complained that 4 days ago, they said the work was too long to complete, they said that they could not know for real back then. When I said I would call management and complain, all of a sudden, the techs found a broken steam coil, and they said that whoever installed the unit put the wrong coil; it should have been a water coil. I told him it was his company that installed it, but the guy acts like I am wrong. Finally, I get a bill for a steam coil (not a water coil) which costs $300-$400, but the bill me for $1500 plus labor of $400.When I explained this to management, they gaslighted me, saying I must be confused, and they told me they would talk to the techs about it. I complained about the coil replacement price. I asked for the model they used, but nobody could tell me anything. They never apologized for showing up 6 hrs late the first time, never told me the price of the "broken" coil before they replaced it, and mixed up their "story" about what type of coil was supposed to be there, they never told me the model number so I could prove they overcharged $1000 for the part. The management did nothing, except for gaslighting. Every time I called, they were "in a meeting" and would call later. They never called. In short, this company is disrespectful, dismissive of their clients' time and budget, shady with what they fix (parts and services), and completely unable to explain any of their costs (part is $400 and they bill $1500). If you call them, keep your fingers crossed and your expectations low.

  • The annual A/C check up by Figlia was a delight - starting with making the appointment with d'Andre - email/phone - he was courteous, professional, on top of everything; the agreed time of the visit - the were right in the slot. The two gentlemen who did the tune-up obviously professionals, quick, helpful,, knowledgeable, and courteous, friendly, as well. The Figlia folks seem to have what we (all?) appreciate: the personal touch! Thank you, guys! Till next year!
