I had some work done by LIACA (4/2026). They really went above and beyond. I had 6 heat pumps installed. The install went smoothly, clean work, no issues, and they listen to you when it comes to where the units will be placed. I really loved the fact that they made it easy for me when it came to completing the forms for the rebates. They are very hands on with the whole process. They kept me updated every step of the way. Their prices are really great too, I did some research and other companies were changing an arm and leg before the rebate was even considered but LIACA prices were the best on the market. The units works perfectly and omg they are quiet. I had a/c units throughout the house and they were noisy. These new units are a complete night and day. I’ve included pictures of the units installed so you can see the finished project. I really and truly appreciate the team and would be recommending them to family and friends. *I will update within the year to let everyone know how my systems is holding up*

John and his team were terrific. The solid communication, the attentive service, and the smooth install were all fantastic. I would recommend LIACA for your air conditioning and related needs. Thanks John Update, one year later John and team helped install a larger 18,000 BTU unit in our east end summer place in Southold, NY. The installer came on time, installed the unit efficiently, and we love our new AC and heating unit. Thanks again John!

My central kicked the bucket. John helped us go through all the options and gave us his recommendation for a new unit at a reasonable price and fair price. Communications was great, our questions were answered quickly and we got to see the different models they offered. On the day of installation John made sure things went smoothly. The guys were quick and efficient with the installation. They hauled away the old unit and installed our new thermostat. I cant recommend LIACA enough they came through during the hottest days of last summer.

John and his LIACA team provided a prompt and comprehensive quote for a Fujitsu inverter heat pump system replacement and upgrade, with options to consider, all at competitive prices. The LIACA team of professionals installed our system on schedule, creatively, neatly, then provided a full system demonstration when complete. We could not be more pleased with LIACA's approach and work, and give LIACA top marks in every category, unequivocally. To the extent we may in the future require HVAC work, LIACA would be our first call.

My central air unit died. We needed to replace our central air unit and decided to upgrade to one with an air pump. John was great to work with. He came to take a look at the space and provided his recommendation and promptly sent us the quote after. We had gotten quotes from multiple places and their pricing was fair. He was very responsive and answered all of the questions we had. For any questions he wasn’t able to answer immediately he got back to us promptly with the answer. Seth and another guy was responsible for installing the unit on the day of. John came by to make sure the installation was going okay. The guys were quick and efficient with the installation. The job itself was very clean install of the unit and they covered the pipe going down the side of my house so it looks a lot better! They completed the installation all in one day, which was great! They took away the old unit and cleaned up afterwards. We also ended up upgrading our thermostat. John was accommodating and sent Seth back at a later time (after we received the new thermostat) to install the new thermostat. It took a bit to get the heat pump working but ultimately it was all done and John and Seth stayed to make sure both the everything was working. So we were very happy with how the project was handled and completed.

In 2023 we planned and installed a 4 zone mini split Daikin system. John and his team were very efficient from start to finish. It has been two years and the system is running smoothly and without issues. I am actually adding a new zone and will definitely use their services based on availability.

I recently had ductless heat pumps installed in my home by Long Island Air Conditioning and Appliances and I could not be happier with how easy, affordable and pleasurable they were to deal with! From my very first encounter with John, I felt at ease knowing that I was dealing with true professionals. John was courteous and knowledgeable - unlike other companies that gave me a quote, John really took the time to understand my needs and did a very thorough walk through of my home to figure out the best solution for me. At no point did I feel pressured to do anything that I didn’t want to. John simply advised on what would be best based on his professional opinion but totally left it up to me to decide what was most suitable for me and my budget. Within a few hours of him leaving my home, I was emailed a very detailed quote which quite frankly blew other quotes out of the water. I knew exactly what I would be getting and felt comfortable choosing LIAC&A for my HVAC needs. Less than two weeks after giving the to ok to have everything installed, John and his team were at my house, working diligently and quickly to get the job done. It was completed within one day and the it took zero effort on my part. John and his team of installers were so professional and courteous and really did an amazing job, way better than I even expected. They went above and beyond in blending all the piping with the siding of my home so that it was very inconspicuous, something that was very important to me. They didn’t cut any corners and really took the time to do a meticulous job, one they made sure that I was happy with. On top of that, they handled all the rebate paperwork with the electric company so I didn’t have to worry about that even one bit. To say that I am thrilled with how everything turned out would be an understatement. Aside from the job itself (which was flawless) John’s communication was top notch - he always responded to my calls/emails immediately and even took the time to come back to my home at one point to soothe one of my concerns. If you’re looking to get any HVAC work done, I HIGHLY recommend John and his team. Their pricing is very fair and their professionalism and dedication to making the customer happy is unrivaled. Don’t think twice about hiring LIAC&A, you will not be disappointed.

Dishonest people. Don’t fall for the PSEG savings advertisement. It’s a sales gimmick. They over-exaggerate the electric bill savings numbers by a lot. Do your own due diligence and calculation. The installation and units were okay but you can get similar quality of units and services for much cheaper else where. We regretted using them.

Very Disappointed – Poor After-Sales Service and Questionable Installation I had five ductless mini-split AC units installed by LIACA about two years ago through the PSEG Long Island Home Comfort Rebate Program. Initially, the installation seemed fine. However, two of the five units have already stopped cooling, which is extremely disappointing for a system that’s supposed to last 10–15 years. I contacted LIACA multiple times, but they outright refused to provide any service unless I pay $250 just for a diagnostic visit, claiming the 1-year labor warranty has expired. Worse, I was told that the models they installed are no longer sold in the U.S., meaning they may not be repairable at all. I was never informed of this risk at the time of installation. One particularly strange technical issue is that: When I run only one of the defective units, it fails to cool; But when I run both at the same time, both work normally. Clearly this is not a typical failure — it points to a design or system-level problem. Despite explaining the issue in detail, LIACA was completely unwilling to help, and their response felt like they were just trying to wash their hands of the situation. Their attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, even though this was a major installation funded in part by public energy incentives. With a young child and an elderly family member at home, it’s unacceptable to be left without working AC in the middle of summer — especially when the failure may be due to poor system design or installation, not just age. I am now filing complaints with PSEG, I would strongly caution anyone from using LIACA for HVAC services, especially if you expect long-term reliability or support.

From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, the team was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. The installation was done quickly and with minimal disruption to my daily routine. The technicians were tidy and respectful of my space, and they made sure I understood everything about the system before they left.

John and his crew did a great job installing 10 mini split heads and 3 condensers for my home. I contacted 6 places for quote, and John is the only one who asked when each room is typically used—during the day or at night—and came up with a plan to help us save more on our electricity bill. They also repaired the walls after removing my old through-the-wall air conditioners. They even help to fix some small issues of my siding. The installation only took one day to finish!

Very good work from the team at LIACA. There are knowledgeable and courteous professionals at the store to answer your calls or when you stop by for a visit, they're pretty good at answering your emails too. I had what I thought was a serious job - six air handlers and two outdoor condensers. The installation crew handled it in a day, they left the site (my home) clean. I initially didn't even think of getting this type of air-conditioning because of the cost associated with a whole house investment. But, after going onto their website and applying for reduced-rate financing provided by the state and receiving rebates by PSEG, it was a no-brainer. Additional incentives apply from the months of October through May if you heat your house with these units and don't forget the tax incentives. I'm happy to get rid of the window units and more importantly I'm happy the work is warranted. I'm happy to recommend this business. Thank you LIACA

I had an excellent experience with Long Island Air Conditioning & Appliances! From the initial consultation to the installation of our new air conditioning units, their professionalism truly stood out. The team arrived on time, were extremely courteous, and took great care in ensuring everything was installed perfectly. They worked efficiently and answered all my questions with great detail, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. I was impressed with their attention to detail and how tidy they left everything afterward. It’s not every day you find such friendly and professional service! I highly recommend Long Island Air Conditioning & Appliances for anyone in need of top-notch HVAC services. Truly a 5-star experience! To add on, 2 guys installed the HVAC units within a day. They were very professional and kind. Their names are Javier, Johnny, Sith. Honestly the best of the best!

John and his crew did a great job installing the mini split heating/cooling system. The process only took a day and the crew paid attention to details and made the runs visually appealing on the outside of house. The units are great so far and I look forward to using them more. I'd recommend this team if anyone is looking to transition to this sleak and innovative units.

John came by and gave a detailed explanation on what we would need to switch over from oil to hyper heat. The workers came by early and started the installation process. They also cleaned up after the job was complete. Once the installation was complete, John explained how the units would work and gave me a tutorial on how to troubleshoot if need be.

Initially I wanted to install two split units, but after discussing with John on his initial visit, I was convinced that it is to my advantage to install 6 units for the whole house. Start to finish, John and his team did an excellent job. John did all the paper work for PSEG approval and the whole project was completed within a month. His professional and sincere way of handling even the minute details need special mention. He is honest and can be trusted. His team treated us with respect. Installation and clean up was worry free and smooth. I highly recommend John and his team for anyone who is looking for a professional outfit for their needs.

I can’t praise Long Island AC enough. My dad was able to get an air conditioner from them through the HEAP program. When they called him to confirm, they were so sweet and even upped the AC to 8,000BTUs when he said he used to have problems with his old 5,000BTU unit cooling off the apartment. Fast forward to the actual delivery and installation…everything was installed quickly and solidly. The two men brought the AC and equipment up three flights of stairs, even took off their shoes before stepping into the apt, and got straight to work. And when one of the men realized my dad was having trouble with his walker (I was in the other room), he got up and helped him move it to the right position. Seriously, incredibly classy and respectful guys. Thank you all again for making the process so quick and easy for my dad. It was a pleasure, and I can’t recommend your company highly enough.
