Talk about TOP QUALITY!!! This is the company for you. My husband and I had a new system installed and we couldn't be happier. Prior to installation, Jim (the owner) sat with us to explain options. Normally you just get brochures and prices. We got PERSONALIZED attention. He was so methodical with explanations, we were able to make an informed decision based on OUR needs. As for the office, they couldn't be nicer. Accommodating, available and courteous is the only experiences we encountered. As for the installation, the workers were amazing. Drop cloths were immediately put down and they got right to work. 4 men had their specific jobs and they executed them professionally and respectfully. Even though they were here for many hours (big job), they were true professionals and they left my home in perfect condition. No shortcuts were taken and the they made sure that they used the right materials with high quality standards. Overall, I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this company to EVERYONE. This company doesn’t serve black people or what?!? I recently purchased a home in Hempstead and I’m trying to have an outdoor unit installed for my central air. I called this company to get an estimate, and the operator lady told me that they don’t service residents of Hempstead. Mind you on their website, it boldly states that they serve Hempstead. When I tried to call back to point that out, they blocked my number and refused to answer my call. If you don’t want a certain ethnic group to contact you, please add it on your website too.

Jim came and looked at my equipment that failed last year after 14 years. He fully explained the Boche system and heat pump. I, myself am quite versed in HVAC, as I worked in the field many years ago and have to say Jim knows his product. The installation was flawless, immaculate. And professional. The installers were very polite and cleaned up like they were never here. I had a question the following day and left a message. The following morning Victoria was on the phone to answer my concern that turned out to be nothing but she was understanding and polite. Polar Bear Air was recommended by a friend that did his install years ago and they did not disappoint.

Polar Bear Air installed a Bosch ultra-cold heat pump system in my home last year and it has been amazing! It's efficient, quiet, and I saved a ton of money on oil this year! The owner of the company was my sales rep (how perfect is that), and he explained everything clearly and answered all my questions, helping me decide on the specific model for my home. The installation team was professional, friendly, and got it all done in one day. They are terrific family-run business who know their stuff! After obtaining over 10 estimates from different HVAC companies/installers for a Ductless Mini Split system, 12/22/25, contact was made with Polar Bear Air from an internet advertment. Phone call was made and a call was promptly returned. A home visit was made, estimate received from owner with follow up installer POC named Kenny a family member. Approximate 2 weeks with numerous TEXT messages with no response/reply, it was learned that Polar Bear Air does not have text messages capability, POC phone messages are to a office/home land line POC calls forwarded to a private phone in which call are returned. Going forwarded phone calls/messages were returned promptly and in a timely manner. A bilateral/natural contract/agreement was signed with a start/end date, however, before insulation change of equipment/material location was made, time was limited before end of year 2025. Polar Bear Air agreed and not only upgraded one unit from an 7K to a 9K, but, also decreased the contracted price. “Not Sure of the reason Why!” All insulation was made and complete in 2 days as contracted, in addition follow up to ensure operational efficiency. Two condensers were installed and fully operational. One week later during operations, it was noted that there were a large pool of water coming from one of the condenser. Polar Bear Air POC advised that it is condensation. The system continued to work. Kudos to Kenny for his professionalism/professional courtesy.

I would highly recommend Polar Bear Heating & Air-Conditioning. I recently had two heat pumps installed. The quoting process was very thorough and Jim took time to answer all of my questions. The installation was quick, less than 2 days. The team was courteous and left no mess. I’ve already seen the difference this winter with the reduction in my oil bills and was extremely happy to have a backup heating system when my oil burner broke last week and the temperatures were in the single digits.

I highly recommend Polar Bear Air for HVAC based on their installation of my heat pump system. The business owner recommended a great system at a price lower than bids from competitors. Polar Bear’s installation package included components and services that competitors would not provide. Polar Bear Air’s installation team was prompt, friendly and performed a clean installation. Polar Bear also processed PSEG’s rebate, deducting it from the cost of the installation. PSEG inspected and approved the installation, giving me confidence in the system and in my choice of vendor.
