  • Called on a 95 degree day when the A/C went out. Was able to get a service call later the same day. The technician quickly diagnosed and fixed the primary issue as well as inspecting the entire system and adding some additional needed freon. A no nonsense company, we will definitely use them in the future.

  • Chris came out today and checked our airconditioner. He did a very thorough job checking the unit and cleaning the Airconditioner coils. He worked on the unit almost two hours.

  • Disappointed with out new HVAC unit service received. We bought the unit in July 2026. It completely stopped working September 5 the service technician was great it took 2 appointments to “FIX” the issue by September 10. We left for vacation just to return to the same issue. The website states 24 hour service which is accurate, an AI Assistant is NOT service just to record like an answered machine. I have reached out several times with NO response. Misleading and inaccurate statements on website.

  • The technician arrived on time and was dressed in uniform provided by the company along with Identification. Your service technician did a great job as usual. He pointed out several things to update Along with explaining the test that he was performing. We also had a Conversation about Furnace filters. Even though it was slightly raining, he got out the hose and cleaned our air-conditioning unit outside. After all that he sat down and explained what he did and showed me stats on my furnace. Very satisfied with his work and his friendly advice!

  • Schneller Knochelmann is a class act. I couldn't be happier with these guys. Expert technicians!!!! They fixed a real problem with my HVAC system. I want to personally thank David, Johnny, and Eric. Great job guys! You are welcome in my home anytime. Jay Grossman did an excellent job identifying what needs to be done on my HVAC/Ductwork system. Waiting on estimate to complete job. I had Chad out for general maintenance. He was a true professional. Very thorough job. He is also a very nice guy. Thank you Chad. Next time I'll have a Butterfinger for you. 5 Stars !!!!!

  • POTENTIAL CALLER BEWARE!!!! Many folks that are not in the trades or that deal with service/facilities maintenance jobs all day are unaware of the shift happening. Back in the day, you would call this company and a tried and tested HVAC tech would show up. These days, companies (not all, but definitely this one) are sending out techs that are taught to fix minor issues but to also push to sell the customer on a new HVAC system (with financing available!!!). So these folks that show up are half technician, half sales rep. If your unit is even a little old, or has an issue that cannot be very easily fixed, they are going to push for a new system whether you need one or not. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE CALLING A VENDOR SUCH AS SCHNELLER KNOCHELMANN. I have clients that are in their 60's, one of them just had half their liver removed due to cancer, and Schneller's tech told them the unit needed to be replaced due to a leak that they could audibly hear (ding ding ding, one would think that would narrow down the location of the problem!!!!) but the tech would not investigate because "a hornets nest was under the cover." The next day, a true and tried tradesman came out and found the leak, fixed the leak, filled the system, and guess what??? There was no hornets nest. This went from a potential replacement of tens of thousands that they just do not have to a $600 repair. I say all of this to make you aware before calling. These folks are not alone in this shift. There are many others out there (Fast Response, Arlinghaus to name a few). There are still some good ones out there so do your due diligence before letting them convince you that your 8 year old system needs to be replaced. I would say shame on you Schneller Knochelmann but I know you probably have massive investors or corporate overlords that have been the biggest factor in this push so I really don't blame you or the techs you send. UPDATE: While I am still irked by the tech's actions on his visit, I must say the talk I had with the Service Manager Chris was very helpful and he 100% made the situation right.

  • I received a phone call from my wife while I was at work, explaining that our AC essentially took a poo. I googled local HVAC companies, and SK came up with very high reviews. I called and scheduled an inspection of my system the next day. Shortly after the first gentleman diagnosed the issues, it was made clear that the best investment would be to replace my entire system- confirming my worst fear. It was 80 degrees in my home, and I didn't feel like choosing a temporary fix for a long term problem, so I agreed to a full system replacement- both furnace (original 30 year old unit) and AC (mismatched parts from previous homeowner, handyman special). I can't say I enjoyed hearing the prices, but I also understand what Covid did to the world and local economies, so I bit the bullet. Their crew came out the very next day, and had both systems installed before I was even home from work, leaving no trace whatsoever that they had done significant work in my home. I can honestly say that although you will pay a premium price, you will proportionally receive a premium service with premium products. I now have an entirely new HVAC system and a new smart thermostat. I would recommend this company to anyone. The communication, scheduling, professionalism of everyone involved was top-tier, and they met and exceeded my expectations.

  • Made an appointment and they did not show. First time using this company.

  • Jay did a fantastic job of diagnosing the problem and getting our air-conditioning up and running quickly. A true professional. Thanks again!

  • The price to put nitrogen in our AC unit just to find a leak was around $1,000, so the tech instantly began trying to get us to schedule a consult to have our unit replaced! When we refused to commit to that, he offered to put coolant into the unit to see if he could find the leak. He charged my Husband $400 to put some coolant in the unit and then listened to the leak without taking the top off of the air conditioner to actually SEE if he could pinpoint the leak. When my husband asked him why he didn’t take the top off the air conditioner to actually look inside, he said there was a hornets nest inside the unit. The next day, a normal, seasoned HVAC person came to our home, checked the unit for a leak by filling it with nitrogen, found the leak (which was so obvious with the naked eye (if you opened the unit, of course), braised the tubing, and we were up and running within an hour. Total cost: $750. By the way, there was no hornets nest inside our unit. That was a complete fabrication. Never again!

  • Sump pump stopped working on a Friday afternoon with heavy rain forecast the next day. Called SKP and they came out and replaced the sump pump. Pump worked perfectly when the rain came on Saturday morning. Thanks for giving us peace of mind.

  • Very professional, prompt service even when I imagine it's been very busy with the Heatwave. He knew his stuff. Very happy with the service.

    John P.

  • Ben was professional and helpful. Plus he explained the issues several service options.

    Andrew L.

  • I was advised there was a $99.00 service tech fee. When the service tech arrived within minutes he quoted me a price of $438.00 to clean a kitchen drain. I declined the service (was able to get the same job done for $99.00) but still had to pay the service tech fee. I'm giving the service a 2 star rating because they did advise of the service fee but the estimate was 4x higher than other plumbers.

  • Technician, Dale was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Good experience. Thank you.

  • I couldn’t be more flabbergasted that my concerns are ignored and my request to hear from the general manager as promised regarding the utter destruction of my home due to a leak in the drain pipe at the foundation level behind the access wall that after almost 2 months of this ongoing issue, was found in 20 minutes by a drainage specialist. Shout out to Ross at KCS in Indiana. May 7 Ethan from Schneller & Knochelmann plumbing could not find the easily located leak behind the access wall and determined I must pay Paramount Restoration to cut open drywall and rip up all my carpet and padding $2800 so he could come look behind the wall and STILL not find the leak. Ethan concluded no plumbing issue existed which was false. Then I eventually contacted KCS drainage professionals and within 20 minutes Ross found the problem in the access panel at the base of the drain pipe. Ross from KCS volunteered to write up a detailed report for me completely free of charge explaining that this was a pre-existing problem all along and detailing exactly how it was located and what needed to be done. This was needed for my home owners insurance company to cover basically retroactively the original claim closed after the incompetent plumber reported no issue in the plumbing. All the water damage and stress and time taken off work and unnecessary opening the walls of my home has taken its toll on me. The black mold and extensive water damage that has moved into 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen resulting from the plumber not being able to spot a plumbing issue is enough to make me want to cry. Find another company with integrity.

  • They were able to give us same day urgent service for our HVAC repair when the AC shut off, they were so friendly and considerate and easy to work out.

  • When our HVAC system failed after the coils burst and the compressor died, we had four different companies come out and give us estimates. Every company identified ductwork issues that were creating high static pressure and recommended changes to improve airflow. Larry from Schneller Knochelmann was the best. He took time to diagnose the problem and explain what was going on. Compared with the other companies, his recommendations were most thoughtful, data driven, and customized to our house and needs. S&K ended up being the second cheapest option, but they were able to get the work done the fastest. They sent a crew of four guys and completed the installation and ductwork modifications in a single day. What really stood out was the follow-up. They were the only company that guaranteed all of their work, and Larry came back a week later to check airflow and static pressure throughout the system. The pressure is still a little higher than ideal, so we may end up needing more work, but everything moving forward is covered. Overall, very impressed with S&K and no regrets about paying a little more for them. They were easy to communicate with, they showed up when they said they would, and they clearly cared about doing the job right. The work was clean, thorough, and professionally done. Would definitely recommend them.

  • We had excellent professional service from Schneller Knochelmann on a new heat pump water heater. Ethan provided thoughtful straightforward advice and service. Of the other HVAC companies we have had experience with, Schneller Knochelmann has become our preferred service provider.

  • Our outdoor faucet sprung a leak. S&K tech Andrew Voorhees showed up on time and totally prepared to replace it. He was a very pleasant individual and it was obvious he knew plumbing well. Took extra care to clean up after his work and respect our property. Five stars for sure.

  • Can't say enough about Schneller Knockelmann! We had our AC go out on the hottest day this year - it ended up being an electrical issue in our nearly 100yo house. Their new electrical branch (literally!) saved our life. Ernesto came out that day and got our exposed wires replaced - our system is so clean, organized and safe and the whole experience couldn't have been easier. THANK YOU, ERNESTO!

  • He was very well with the job. I trust him. He has a great personality. Very knowledgeable. Very efficient. Just all around great guy.

  • Been trying to get in contact about a warranty transfer and keep getting transferred to voicemail. Guess they don't wanna fulfill the warranty or something.

    Cheems D.

  • Steve and Joseph came and installed 3 new valves and changed out 3 bathroom facets. Two other young men came and replaced my water heater and fix an issue with water flow. Everyone was nice, polite and cleaned up their work area. Last year I also had my HVAC/AC replaced. I would highly recommend Schneller Knochelmann.

  • I am very pleased with the plumbing service I received. The guys were personable, professional, and did a top notch job!
