Tampa Bay Air Conditioning, Inc. is a family owned business serving the Lutz/Land O’Lakes area for over 40+ years. In 1985, Tampa Bay AC Inc signed up with Trane as a dealer. We were impressed by the quality of the system. In 1994, We were asked to become a Trane Comfort Specialist. Tampa Bay Air Conditioning is also a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB.COM) In 1993, Ronnie Smith joined the team full time and has his Florida State Mechanical C license Renee Kent Shows is Tom’s daughter, and started full time in 1998 out in the field, Sales, and now in the office. In 2008, Ronnie, Renee, and Tom Kent became Partners in this business. Having a family owned business is very special to us, and we have 40+ yrs of repeat customers.

• Ronnie is the person you want working on your Trane AC. His company is professional, very knowledgeable and honest. We had a very bad experience with our previous HVAC company who was no longer associated with Trane. They came out for annual maintenance and tried sell us a new Lenox system because of a failed capacitor. It is wonderful to know that there are still companies like Tampa Bay Air Conditioning that opérate with integrity. Update: We have had our system since 2020. Tampa Bay AC continues to provide excellent maintenance as needed. They don’t push annual maintenance service contracts and their fees are very reasonable. We’ve received excellent service from both Robert and Greg.

• SEPTEMBER 2026 AC PROBLEM.UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST. OUTSIDE FAN MOTOR NOT WORKING TODAY. Temperature rising inside house. Called Tampa Bay Air Conditioning after 12pm. The office representative took my information and said a technician could be here around 3pm. He arrived right on time, found the problem and fixed it! MARCH 2026 ROUTINE CLEANING & INSPECTION Easy to schedule appointment for AC unit cleaning. Office Manager always calls right back and is very pleasant. Service technician was courteous and efficient. He cleaned outside coils and inspected everything. I would recommend Tampa Bay Air Conditiong, and will use them for my yearly AC unit cleaning and for service if we need repairs.

• As everyone knows, air conditioning units operate on a strict schedule. They only break down on weekends, holidays, or the hottest day of the year. Mine chose Saturday. When I started having issues with my AC’s condensate drain line, I called and was quickly connected with Ronnie (owner) and Rene. Since their technician was already booked for the weekend, they took the time to talk through the problem with me over the phone. After I explained what was happening and what troubleshooting steps I already completed, they walked me through several additional things I could safely do myself to help resolve the problem and prevent further issues for the weekend. What really stood out to me was that they weren’t trying to sell me an emergency weekend service call. In fact, their honest guidance helped me avoid expensive weekend rush fees. After completing the steps they recommended, I felt comfortable waiting until Monday for a technician to come out and handle things professionally. On Monday, Troy (technician) arrived and was fantastic. He professionally cleaned the drain lines, tested the float switch, and even modified the drain setup to make future maintenance and cleaning much easier. He took the time to explain everything and made sure the system was working exactly as it should before leaving. It’s refreshing to find a company that genuinely looks out for its customers. Ronnie, Rene and Troy all went above and beyond, and their honesty, professionalism, and willingness to help earned my trust. Moving forward, they’ll be my first call for preventive maintenance, repairs, and eventually a full system replacement of my already 13 year old HVAC system. They grow up so fast!
