  • Be careful with them, never ever will call them again. They came to my house fixed the AC and got check immediately $2500, and never worked. They asked me to wait 48 hrs to get cold air, I called them in 48 hrs let them know there is no cold air. Then they send technician next day and he came and gave me quote to replace whole unit. I asked my money back $2500. They don’t want to return it. I called another company they fixed it and they said no need to replace and charged me only $900. Since then AC works fine. Be careful again with Abest, instead of fixing properly they will ask you to replace unit and buy unit from them.

  • James Thompson has serviced my heating and air conditioner for several years. He is the BEST! He is very honest. I trust him completely.

  • Robby showed up to check our AC and I was expecting him to tell me that it needs to be replaced immediately or try to sell me an entire system. After casual conversation and telling him about family life and our budget he said that he could service our AC system and save us some money for the time being because it was still in good shape. I thanked him for his honesty and he notified me of how other companies don't offer servicing units but try to sell you new units. He serviced our AC and our house is cooler now. God bless the A Best Air & Heat company for their honest hard workers!

  • They will continue to charge you for your monthly subscription even if you call and text them to cancel. I have confirmed cancellation with them twice and continue to be charged for a service I am not receiving. Would not recommend signing up for their membership.

  • A best Air and Heat was recommended to me by family. They were professional and prompt, very friendly. The technician's explained everything thoroughly. Very impressed with the service and highly recommend! I'll be a repeat customer.

  • After days of dealing with an unbearably hot house, A Best Air came through for us. They replaced our AC unit, and what a difference! Our home is finally cool again, and we couldn't be happier. They were on time, answered all of our questions, and made the whole process stress free. It's hard to find people who genuinely care about doing a good job. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing AC work.

  • I would highly recommend anyone else. They do not honor their warranties and push fixes that are not needed and very expensive. The only thing they do is take your money. Awful company.

  • I highly recommend A Best Air! Our house was miserably hot after our AC stopped cooling 🥲. They came out quickly, added Freon to our unit, and had our air conditioner working again in no time. Our house is nice and cold again thankfully!!! They were very professional and super friendly, they provided excellent service. If you're looking for an honest and reliable heating and air company, A Best Air is the one to call. Thank you for getting us comfortable again!

  • **UPDATE - I did speak with Tammy Green and she indicated I should not have even been charged labor for them coming out. She refunded the money I paid and apologized for the tech being pushy. As I explained to her it wasn't a good feeling being pushed to make a 10K decision without speaking to my husband and that is not a good business practice. She said she had heard this before from others. I do appreciate finally getting some response, I am just sorry it took a bad review to get one. They have serviced out unit for the last several years so when my AC unit was cooling properly I called to have them look at my system. It was Monday around 9 am when I called and was told it would be 1-3 before they could come out. I was happy thinking it may take a few days. I got the call at 11:19 that the tech Robby was finished early and could he come on over. I explained I was 10 minutes away and would head home. I was home for a while before he showed up. Once he arrived I explained what was going on and that we had just had a roof replaced. He originally thought maybe they had hit a cooling line, so checked the attic and realized that none of our lines were close to the roof so that wasn't the issue. He hooked gauges and told me I had no refrigerant. He ran a few test and then told me I had a clog and that caused a vacuum and had damaged my compressor. He explained my unit was flat and would need to replaced. He wrote up the quotes for replacement and emailed them at 1240 pm and came in the house to collect payment for the service call. He said I am only going to charge for 1 hour even though I was here an hour and half. He then explained they had an opening at 9 am and he would waive the $218 fee if I wanted to go ahead and sign and book for the install. I explained I needed to speak to my husband first to discuss and that he runs heavy equipment so I was not able to get him at that moment. I asked if we made a decision if they could waive it and he said no. I was distressed about seeing a 9500 and never though twice about his time comment and waiving 30 minutes of labor. However from the time he was dispatched at 11:19am until he left at 1245pm is not even 1.5 hours (although close) and he was not at my house when they called. He did state the time starts from the time he arrived, so no he did not discount .5 hour off the charge. He did call me twice later in the day to see if I spoke to my husband and get us on the books to which I had not been able to talk to him yet. I finally got to speak with my husband that afternoon and he said something didn't feel right. He had another company come out on Tuesday morning. The tech arrived at 930 am, hooked equipment and told me I was 2lb low on refrigerant, but that my system was not flat, there was not a clog and that our system was running strong. He added 2 lbs of refrigerant and charged the system. I have ICE cold air again! He is coming back out to run down a leak as the system obviously did loose refrigerant but he got us going and informed us we do not need a new system. Robby called back on Tuesday late morning to see if we had made a decision and I explained what I was told by the 2nd company and what he did to fix our issues. I also asked him how he figures he knocked 30 minutes of labor off when he was dispatched at 11:19 am and I had emailed quotes and an invoice at 1240pm? He said well I know I was there more than hour and the home office logs our time. When your AC goes out again in a week give us a call and we can install the new system and hung up. No worries of that because if I ever have issues I won't call a company that tried to scam me. I did call the office at just after 11 am and asked to speak with a manager or owner and was told they were at lunch and would give me a call. No call ever came. I called back Wednesday morning and was told I was on the list to call back. Still no call..... its been a week. I would not recommend this company period!

  • Absolutely horrible horrible company. They don't stand behind thier repairs. They let thier employees lie about doing said repairs and the owner doesn't in way take care of customers...the customer is always the liar in her eyes. So disappointed with this company!

  • I blame myself for the problems with A Best, who serviced my AC. During work on another issue, my landlord mentioned that my house's crawlspace was extraordinarily cool and asked me to check the house AC vents to see if the air was flowing okay. Turns out several were not, and my landlord said I could proceed to have it fixed. I called A Best because they had serviced the unit before. Two workers came to my house. One went into the crawlspace and says he saw no major issues with the ductwork under the house. They opened the hood to the unit and discovered it was very dirty and congested with dirt, dog hair and other outside particles. They cleaned the unit and either fixed or replaced two parts called run capacitors. The bill says they were repaired at a cost of $301.50. There also was a $335 charge. A Best was at my house for about an hour. And the vents that didn't flow well are still not flowing well. My landlord hit the roof when he saw the receipt. He priced the parts at other places at less than $100. When I called A Best they told me that the receipt says repaired but that they actually were replaced. When I asked about the high cost of the parts, I was told that also included labor for each part. I then asked why there was a separate $335 labor charge, which brought the entire bill for work to $938. She said she would look into it and call me back. That was on Sept. 16. Today is Oct. 5. I blame myself for not getting estimates beforehand. I naively wanted to show A Best some loyalty. Lesson learned. An expensive lesson.

  • Anytime the a/c goes out, things can get moody. These guys came, determined, repaired and replaced all in a 24 hour period. All while being upfront and informative. I did not pay the bill, however, I witnessed the good business/good faith and now can reap the benefits of a cooled off day.. Thank you for your hard work.

  • The tech came out stating we needed a new contactor even though we had power going to the unit but the fan was not running. I stated should you not check the power coming from the fan to the power supply to ensure the fan has just not went out since the unit is powering on the tech said in his educational experience its a bad contactor and it will be around 300.00 plus parts and diagnostic fee. I said ok since I am recovering from surgery on my back even though he never checked the fan power and I truly new better . He comes out next day puts in the new contactor then tells me well it looks like there is no power coming from your fan because it is not coming on at this point after I installed the new contactor. I said did I not tell you to check that before just guessing he said I did what I thought the issue was . I am like ok how much is it for a new fan to be installed He told me around 750.00 for a new fan to be installed but I really think you are going to need a new unit at this point. I took a deep breath and said ok so at this point how much do I owe you He said 300.00 for the new contactor that I installed. I knew the fan was not a big deal to install its a hole 5 wires my 15 year old son can do that so I paid him the 300.00 plus 800.00 for the diagnostic fee a total of 380.00 and he left. Here were I am really upset after he leaves I go to put the door on because it was supposed to rain that evening and the new contactor that he installed keeps popping off every time I try to put the door on the unit is power off. Come to find out he installed a bad contactor and there is no way he didn't know because if you barely moves the low voltage wire the contactor would power off turning the unit off. I am very upset because he did that on purpose I truly believe and just took my $380.00 and left. I got a new contactor that cost me another $45.00 and fan cost $175.00 and installed then myself through alot of pain later in my back the unit is running just fine. I have everything on camera and voice recorded the entire conversation between us . I could not make this up if I tried. Going to small claims court on this one for sure. I would be very careful if you choose to use this company they will take your money not fix the unit then tell you that you need a new unit all together like they did me.

  • James from A-Best Air is the best!! Phenomenal service, always Professional! Goes above and beyond for the customer!! MY FAMILY APPRECIATES YOU James!!!!!!!!

  • We received a call from A-Best Air saying we were due a service on our AC unit. We scheduled the service and also expressed concern about one of the units. The tech came out, he was polite. He was here 20 minutes. We weren’t told what he did but we were charged for a year’s service plan that we didn’t agree to. I called the office to discuss the payment and was told it was a year fee we pay for service. We have used A-Best for an issue with our units and had a great experience. We’ve never used them for service only and this experience felt like we were forced under false pretenses because the service plan was never explained to us. The communication could have been handled better. In the future, we will use a different company.

  • Homeowners beware. Before buying our home, the upstairs HVAC unit was flagged by our inspector as needing service or possible replacement. As part of our purchase agreement, the seller hired A Best Heat and Air to perform that service. Their invoice stated the system was functioning properly after they finished. Within days of moving in, the unit failed to cool properly. We hired another licensed HVAC company, who immediately found a major refrigerant leak—a problem that clearly existed when A Best serviced the unit. Because it wasn’t properly diagnosed or repaired, we had no choice but to pay thousands of dollars to replace the entire upstairs system. We’ve reached out to A Best Heat and Air repeatedly—by phone, by email, even through a BBB complaint—and they have never responded. No explanation, no offer to make things right, nothing. This lack of accountability and professionalism has cost us significantly. If you’re looking for a company that stands behind their work and communicates with their customers, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. UPDATE 7/25/25 in response to the owner’s reply: Thank you for taking the time to reply. I understand you were hired by the seller, not by me directly. However, your company’s work directly affected me as the buyer, because your June 6th presale tune‑up and invoice stated the upstairs unit was functioning properly. Within days of moving in, we discovered the upstairs unit was not cooling. A licensed HVAC contractor immediately found a significant refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil—a problem that would have existed at the time of your inspection. Because your report indicated everything was fine, the seller did not replace the system prior to closing, leaving us with a bill of thousands of dollars for a full replacement. My realtor even contacted your technician after the leak was discovered. He provided a gauge photo for the downstairs unit only and, despite repeated requests, never provided a gauge photo for the upstairs unit. After that, there was no further response from your company to me or to the BBB complaint I filed. What is especially frustrating is that I made multiple good‑faith attempts to contact your company directly—through emails, phone calls, and even through my realtor—and received no acknowledgment at all. Yet as soon as I left a public review, there was suddenly a response. If your company truly stands by its work and values its reputation for honest service, a simple courtesy reply to any one of my earlier messages would have gone a long way. I respect that you value your long‑term clients, but the documentation you provided directly influenced the sale of this home and left us with a major expense. I stand by my review and hope this feedback encourages more thorough presale inspections—and far better communication—so no other buyer ends up in this situation.
