• We had a new system installed in 2022 and at first it was perfect, by the next summer it wasn’t hitting the set temp no matter the outside temp. Other companies came out (including regular maintenance!) and everyone had a different issue (dirty coils, restricted return air, insufficient insulation/ductwork, capacitor replacement etc) but no one could tell us why our now four year old system could not reach the set temp. We finally called Above and Beyond and they fixed the issue (that had been missed by others for years!) the next day. • Question: What’s worse than 100+ degree weather in San Antonio? Answer: An air conditioner that’s only blowing hot air!!!! That’s what happened to us this past Sunday! We called Above And Beyond A/C early Monday morning and a technician arrived promptly only to inform us that our compressor had been fried by a power surge! What could be worse? It would take about two weeks for a replacement to arrive. Yikes!!! We have been working with Above and Beyond’s Founder and owner, Tommy, since 2019, when our old air conditioner totally collapsed on another hot summer afternoon. We’ve trusted him and his team ever since and we’ve never been disappointed. That’s why we did not even consider any other company to help us resolve this problem, even if it meant waiting two weeks! Tommy Immediately sympathized with our situation and said, “Two weeks is too long! Let me see what I can do.” And DO he DID!!!! After consulting with us, he arranged to have a compressor delivered the next day for an expedited freight charge; the cost of which was a fraction of what it would have cost for hotel accommodations or portable A/C units. By Tuesday afternoon, the compressor had not only arrived but it had been installed and our home was livable again! Whew! Tommy helped us with get financing and he was able to get make arrangements with Wells Fargo that would not have been available to us had he not intervened. As a result of this, not only is our home, cool, but so are our payments! Not only has this company always provided expedient, high-quality and personalized services, but their team members have been with them since our first encounter in 2019. That means when technicians come to our door, they know me and I know them, and even of greater importance, they know our unit!!! So now you understand why we have given them a five star rating. Special thanks to you, Tommy and your team, Matthew, Victor and another gentleman whose name I do not remember, but whose smile I shall not forget. We are most grateful and we thank God for bringing you into our lives. BTW, seriously consider getting power surge protectors for both your outdoor compressor and indoor unit. I did not even know they existed but Matthew suggested them to us and we had them added on. When I did my research on YouTube, one video (not created by Above and Beyond) said, “You buy power surge cords for your 1,000 dollar computer. Why don’t you buy surge protectors for the most expensive and necessary equipment in your home“? Good point, right?

• *Update* Four years later and whole different property; their service is still beyond amazing! Same-day diagnosis and nearly my whole system replaced before dinner time. There's a reason I've kept their magnet on my refrigerator for this long! *original* Tommy with Above and Beyond was a lifesaver! We moved into a new rental that had NO air conditioning. After our property management company failed to get a technician out on the same day, we made the call to Above & Beyond. After a few questions on the phone, he was at our house within half an hour at 9 PM! He quickly diagnosed and replaced a broken capacitor, and we had air conditioning in less than half an hour. He was fast, clean, and professional. I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

• Had them come out a few months ago to replace the coils in the attic unit. Cost was close to 3k and required removing the ducting. The repair was completed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, It turns out they did such a poor job on sealing it that ALL of the tape came off at some point and leaked conditioned air into the attic for months. It was caught during a home inspection and cost another $300 to seal up correctly. The second tech told me it was never prepared property for the reseal and that is why the tape and adhesive came off.
