If I could give -5 stars I absolutely would. Called for an appointment on a Thursday morning, was told they would be there Friday anywhere from 8am-6pm… Makes scheduling work a little difficult but we were happy to be on their schedule, and they mentioned giving us a 30min call before they arrive. Long story short after not hearing anything by lunch we called, absolute said they would be calling us shortly. By 4:30 we called again and said they would be calling shortly… by 5:30 they said there’s nothing we can do until Monday. Saturday we called again and they were sorry for the inconvenience and guaranteed a technician would be out same day to fix the issue. I don’t even have to tell you what happened next because you can guess it, a complete no show. Absolutely terrible communication and no way to run a business. Also completely unprofessional to guarantee 2 different dates to come out and then leave us hanging for 5 days in the middle of summer with no AC Texas edition. You’d have a better chance at getting a hold of the Easter bunny.

If i could give them 5 zero stars I would.. the ABSOLUTE WORST...they installed a furnace wrong which has now affected the cooling.. we have been dealing with this for 2 summers and neither absolute Lubbock or westside air from Odessa can fix the issue through the other worst home shield insurance AMERICAN... they are all incompetent and do not know what they are doing... all they've done for 2 summers is push the work on each other with neither knowing how to fix the problem... mind you, the condenser, the furnace, everything is brand new but our ac still freezes over and neither of the 2 companies can fix it... we will finally have to pay an outside vendor, an actual professional, to come diagnose and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO WHAT WE ARE SAYING, and fix the issue... I'm done with absolute Lubbock westside Odessa and american home shield

1/5 -- We needed a second opinion, not a sales presentation A technician from Absolute came to our home through American Home Shield after we requested a second opinion on our AC claim. He was fully aware that this was a home-warranty service call and that we were seeking an independent second opinion after AHS denied our claim. We also happen to carry two home warranties and were comparing the coverage each company would provide for the same AC failure. Unfortunately, our experience with Absolute felt much more like receiving a sales lead than receiving an independent diagnostic evaluation. During the visit, the technician told us we "might" get approved for a replacement through AHS, but characterized what AHS might provide as essentially builder-grade and said it would "only be enough to get the job done." He then spent approximately 20-30 minutes discussing why we should purchase a larger/upgraded system instead. We felt obligated to sit through an extensive sales presentation while waiting for what we thought was supposed to be a second diagnostic opinion. What makes this particularly frustrating is what happened afterward. A day or two later, while the temperature inside our home was around 90 degrees, I contacted Absolute because we hadn't received an update. I was eventually told that the technician had placed our claim "on hold" because he was "waiting to hear back from us" and "knew our claim was going to be denied." That was incredibly upsetting. If the technician believed from his visit that our warranty claim would be denied, we should have been told. Instead, we spent additional days believing a second-opinion determination was being processed while apparently the contractor was waiting to see whether we would purchase equipment, because he may not have actually wanted to follow through with a legitimate warranty claim and decided we were a sales lead instead. We weren't sitting in a 90-degree house trying to decide whether to buy an upgraded AC from Absolute. We were comparing coverage between two home warranty companies. When I explained this to the office, the conversation became defensive, and I repeatedly had to make clear that we were not purchasing an AC system from Absolute. Clearly, that was the outcome they were hoping for when they accepted our work order. We ultimately contacted our other home warranty company and told them to proceed. They had already approved our condenser replacement and immediately moved the process forward. The most frustrating part is that we had a backup option. Absolute's handling of this second-opinion visit contributed to approximately another week without working AC when we could have simply proceeded with our already-approved replacement. They waited until the end of the business day on Friday to tell us the technician "put our claim on hold, because he knew it was going to be denied". I really feel for homeowners who don't have that option. Most people don't maintain two home warranties. When someone's AC is out during a Texas summer, they're depending on the dispatched contractor to diagnose the equipment and promptly report the findings to the warranty company. A home-warranty service call should not leave the homeowner wondering whether the priority was completing an independent diagnosis or converting the service call into an equipment sale. Thankfully, we had another warranty company and another path forward. We will not use Absolute for our replacement. There was very little regard shown if any, and it was very apparent the technician was fully ready to take full advantage of the opportunity had it been there. If your home warranty company sends Absolute, I urge you to ask them to send anyone but them.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! We have been without air conditioning for 5 days!!! These people installed a trane in 21….they did not register the unit so no warranty!!!! No phone calls back after daily calls from us!! A tech did tell my husband that the blower was out and that is 2400$ not under warranty!! I have Bruce Thornton company here after 1 call…it’s not the blower it’s the board!! Do not dobuissness with Absolute!!!! This company is a total fail!!!! In response to your comments, you have our phone numbers you should have called. We did not miss an appointment!! No 1 showed up! The phone did not ring from your company so after 4 days we had no other options. Os. We found out that your company never filed the unit with Trane when it was installed. So the ball was dropped every time by absolute!!!!

Giving three stars because my AC was eventually fixed, but getting there was a nightmare. The communication throughout this entire process was terrible. 6/7: I submitted a service request and received a text saying a technician would come out on 6/8 with a 30-minute courtesy call before arrival. 6/8: No timeframe was ever provided, so I took the day off work to make sure I was available—only to be completely no-call, no-showed. 6/9: I called that morning and was told they’d try to come out that afternoon. If not, they would for sure be there early the morning of 6/10 and would call before arriving. 6/10: I received no communication until 5:15 p.m., when they informed me the technician would arrive at 6:41 p.m. He did eventually show up. 6/16: I received a text that morning informing me they had found the part and that I had an appointment that day. I was told the technician would call 30 minutes before arrival. I explained that I could only do first thing in the morning or late afternoon because I wasn’t taking off any more work after they had already proven unreliable. They said they would try for late afternoon or reschedule. Instead, the technician called during the hours I had specifically said I was unavailable. There was no voicemail, no second call, no text, no attempt to contact the secondary number on file, and no follow-up from the office. I didn’t even know anyone had tried to reach me. 6/17: No communication at all. 6/18: I called and was informed that the technician had called on 6/16. I explained the situation, and they said they would call me back. They never did. 6/19: I texted at 8:00 a.m. letting them know I would be available after noon. They replied that they would notify the technician. I never heard anything else. 6/20: I texted again asking if we could please schedule a time to complete the repair. 6/22: At 8:00 a.m., I once again received a text informing me—not asking—that I was scheduled for repairs that day. I replied that I wasn’t available until after 3:00 p.m. and again asked them to call the alternate phone number on file, even providing the number again. The technician still called only my number. Thankfully, my partner saw the text on the alternate phone, contacted the technician, and was available to let him in. The AC was finally repaired. My biggest issues were: 1. If a customer doesn’t answer, leaving no voicemail, not trying the alternate contact, and never following up until the customer reaches out is ineffective customer service. 2. Telling customers the morning of that they have an appointment, without asking whether they’re available or providing even an approximate arrival window, is inconsiderate. I understand HVAC scheduling can be unpredictable, but most people can’t leave work at a moment’s notice. 3. Scheduling an appointment and then completely no-call, no-showing a customer who took off work is simply disrespectful. The repair itself was completed successfully, but the communication and scheduling throughout the process were some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced.

Nathan and Joe did a great job! It didn’t take too long and they informed us of a burned wire to the a/c and recommended one of their surge protectors, to protect the a/c from further issues like that. We got it and feel a/c will be better protected. Angie in Odessa
