• It’s a very uncomfortable situation when the AC is “DOA” during late summer/early fall. Everyone at Allen Kelly was extremely helpful and kind. I am a recent widow so I am especially grateful for kindness as a response from people with whom I interact. This group was recommended to me by my neighbor who said “I wouldn’t use any other service!”. I had to reschedule a few times, all on me, but every time the staff was super. The technician, Benny, called ahead to let me know he was on his way and after he’d assessed the problem (in this VERY old house) told me we had an electrical issue and once that was fixed he could reassess the AC. I’ve been lucky as the weather cooperated and it will cool down again over the weekend because the Electrical issue was scheduled for next week. Can’t imagine, based on my experiences so far, once all the work is done there will continue to be five stars.

• Incomplete HVAC installation and lack of financial resolution. In September 2024, I purchased a full upstairs HVAC system replacement from Allen Kelly and Company for $15,916.00. This was the second system I bought from them (I purchased the first system in 2023), bringing my total lifetime spend with the company to over $30,000.00. For nearly two years following the installation, the upstairs main and secondary bedrooms suffered from severe cooling issues and remained excessively hot. On July 8, 2026, an Allen Kelly technician inspected the system to investigate the issue. He discovered that a primary supply duct to those bedrooms was completely unattached and resting on top of the plenum. Furthermore, the corresponding opening in the plenum had never been cut or created by the original installation crew. Airflow to these rooms had been entirely blocked from day one. This oversight went unnoticed during the initial installation, the official municipal mechanical inspection (which an Allen Kelly representative attended), and subsequent routine maintenance visits by two different field technicians from the company. As a result, the compromised system ran continuously for hours trying to cool rooms it could not reach, leading to inflated utility bills and unneeded wear on the equipment. I have included photographic proof of the unattached duct provided directly by the technician. While the technician corrected the physical defect on July 8, management's follow-up has been the most disappointing part of this experience. After initial phone conversations with Clay Ewing, the company stopped responding to my phone messages and emails for several weeks. (The owner Brian Kelly has never contacted me, after I left several phone messages and emails.) When they finally did respond to a formal letter, they refused to provide direct financial compensation to cover the increased utility costs and the diminished use of the system over those two years, offering only future maintenance plans instead. I am sharing this review because a company's true professionalism is measured by how they handle their mistakes. Allen Kelly and Company, Inc. failed to properly install the system I paid for, and they have declined to fairly resolve the financial impact of their error.

• PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE! A service tech said I needed a blower motor replaced (this was on a Monday and it was 100 degrees). By Thursday they said still couldn't find a part and said that the manufacturer had quoted them a replacement price of $11,300.00. I googled the part number and found a brand new Climate Master part in less than an hour, ordered the motor for overnight delivery and installed it myself in two hours. Allen Kelly Co. never did call back, just left me hanging in 100 degree heat!
