  • Update – October 1, 2026 After more than a month of communication, we determined that the main issue was the AC system sizing. Atlas has agreed to remove the entire system and provide the applicable refund. I appreciate that they are ultimately willing to take responsibility and work toward a resolution. This has been costly for both sides. For more than five months, we have dealt with high indoor humidity, spent a great deal of time and effort, incurred additional expenses, and experienced significant disruption to our daily life. Atlas also replaced a compressor at its own cost. If more care had been taken with the original AC sizing, many of these problems and losses on both sides could likely have been avoided. It has been a long and difficult process for everyone involved. At this point, we hope the agreed-upon system removal and refund will go smoothly. Original Review In April 2026, I purchased a brand-new HVAC system from Atlas. Shortly after the installation, I began experiencing persistent indoor humidity of 65%–70% and an ongoing indoor odor. I contacted Atlas many times requesting service, but their responses were slow and the problems were never resolved. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether. Since Atlas failed to resolve the issues, I had no choice but to inspect the system myself. What I found was deeply disappointing. Nearly all three newly installed duct runs had obvious workmanship problems, including severely kinked ducts, crushed ducts, and mismatched duct sizes. Even worse, the installation altered two existing duct branches and disrupted the original airflow balance. I was also charged $480 for a low-voltage wire replacement that was never performed. Despite requesting a refund, I still have not received it. As I continued my inspection, I found even more problems: • The furnace access panel has significant air leakage behind the air filter, allowing unfiltered attic air to enter the living space. • Although the system includes a dehumidification feature, the required control wiring was never connected. In addition, the Ecobee thermostat was incorrectly configured and could not properly send Stage 1 cooling commands, preventing the system from operating as designed and further affecting humidity control. • About 4–5 feet from the unit, the condensate drain line lost its required downward slope and was lying flat on the attic floor, preventing proper drainage. As of today, Atlas has not responded to any of my emails for more than 20 days. I purchased a brand-new HVAC system, yet I ended up spending countless hours inspecting the installation myself, identifying problems, and hiring another contractor to correct them—including problems that did not exist before Atlas performed the work. I did not expect to become the person responsible for inspecting the installation, identifying the defects, and arranging for another contractor to correct them. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Atlas.

  • Masiullah was the technician who came out. He went right to work checking my HVAC system. He checked the furniture then ac and asked if I had any problems or questions. He was courteous and polite and I felt that he thoroughly did a great job.

  • 2026 Fall Checkup with Masiullah went great! 2026 Spring Checkup with Masiullah went great! 2025 Spring Check with Bryce went great! 2024 Fall checkup with Bryce went great. We appreciate his expertise and professionalism!! I had Atlas replace my failing upstairs unit with a new Carrier 2-stage system. I appreciated their price transparency and the ease of pre-planning the new system. There were a few bumps along the way, some of which I attribute to their installers maybe moving a bit faster to get the job done at the expense of safety and thoroughness. Despite these issues, Atlas was always in communication to understand my concerns and worked steadily and prompty to get them fixed. This included replacing the first condenser unit because it was damaged, as well as coming back out to check the original install. Bryce and Angel did a great job tying up the loose ends, as well as installing two new closet runs. Bryce was very kind and generous in installing a new breaker unit for the outside condenser unit, free of charge. There are still a few issues to fix...namely some wall damage and a recheck on an attic ladder they had to partially remove, but this is pending and I'm confident those issues will be solved as well. This long-winded review is just to say they made sure the job was done as agreed and they regained my trust and confidence for the future. I've had experience with nearly a dozen different HVAC companies since I've lived in this house, mostly for periodic maintenance checks. With all these companies I either experienced sloppy, incomplete work, or they were always trying to sell me products and services I didn't need. I feel like with Atlas I've finally found a company that is transparent about pricing and will stand behind their work once it's complete. I'll be using Atlas for my periodic maintenance checks and when my downstairs unit needs to be replaced, I'll likely use them again.

  • I’ve worked with Pedro at Atlas AC Repair several times over the past few months, and he is hands down one of the best service technicians I’ve ever worked with in the 14+ years I’ve lived in my home. He’s friendly, responsive, punctual, hardworking, and always takes the time to explain the work. The quality of his service is exceptional, and I honestly wouldn’t want anyone else servicing my HVAC systems. Highly recommend Pedro and Atlas!

  • This is service the way it should be. Everything is just done 'right'. From the quotes, to the great communication over the entire process, and through the final completion of the installation. No corners were cut anywhere along the way. It is so comforting to have such an experience.

  • Pedro with Atlas performed my bi-annual maintenance on my a/c system today and he did a fantastic job cleaning the unit and walking me through the process. With the Texas heat we have in the summer time, it’s so important to have your a/c maintained each year by a professional..and Pedro was that professional for me today!

  • We had two units replaced back in 2023. We purchased the extended warranty and it was honored when our system went out and was repaired. We were so impressed of the communication between scheduling the dates for repair to the crew who actually did the repairs. Extremely knowledgeable of their work. Atlas AC Repair stands by their word. Thank you to all the staff at Atlass. However we are disappointed in the Carrier brand unit. To purchase a brand new unit and it goes out in 3 years. We will be notifying Carrier about their failed product that broke down in 3 years.

  • A Masterclass in HVAC Engineering, Building Science, and Total Comfort! Initial Survey: This visit was for a pre-install consult. I intend to remove a 3-ton and a 3.5-ton HVAC system and replace them with a single 5-ton Carrier Infinity Greenspeed heat pump with three zones. Timothy was prompt, friendly, asked the right questions and listened to my answers. He wanted to understand what my expectations are with respect to temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality. We walked my home, went into the attic, and outside to the condenser units. He wanted to see everything so he and his team could design my system and plan a schedule to implement the plan correctly. Overall Experience: My wife Lisa and I recently hired Atlas AC Repair to execute a massive, highly-engineered project for our 3,300 sq. ft. home in League City. We tasked them with consolidating two older attic systems (a 3-ton and a 3.5-ton) into a single 5-ton Carrier Infinity Greenspeed dual-fuel system with three zones. Because we had recently optimized our thermal envelope with R-49 cellulose, a radiant barrier, air sealing, and integrated a 15.4 kW solar system with three Tesla Powerwalls, we needed a team that truly understood building science and could deliver a data-driven solution. Atlas absolutely delivered, and the entire crew—including Tommy, Kenneth, Timothy, Israel, and Freddi—were fantastic. Tommy was incredibly patient and collaborative as we worked through multiple estimate revisions to lock in the exact variable-speed Heat Pump and 97% modulating gas furnace configuration we needed to maximize our solar investment. When the initial numbers looked off, Timothy and Kenneth dug into the engineering details and provided a revised Manual J load calculation. By correctly adjusting the software parameters to account for the Greenspeed’s unmatched dehumidification capabilities, they proved mathematically that a 5-ton system was a perfect fit for our upgraded home. Freddi’s thorough duct survey in the attic ensured our custom plenums and the four newly added upstairs return ducts would easily handle the required airflow. What truly stood out during this two-day installation was the exceptional on-site leadership. Kenneth was incredibly present and proactive, ensuring that lessons learned from previous jobs were directly implemented here to elevate the quality of our installation. It was also wonderful to watch the on-the-spot, "just-in-time" training provided by Israel and overseen by Kenneth to create new supervisors. Seeing this mentorship in real-time ensures that any tribal knowledge becomes part of the organization's ethos and is a true testament to Atlas AC Repair's commitment to continual quality improvement and investing in their tradesmen. The results are nothing short of life-changing for our family, and the Carrier Infinity zoning capabilities are phenomenal. Last night, for the first time ever, Lisa and I were able to set our bedroom thermostat to 68 degrees. Normally, my live-in mom cannot tolerate it being that cool, but because our rooms are now zoned separately, she can sleep comfortably at her own desired temperature. Furthermore, our investment in indoor air quality has made a massive difference. Atlas installed a 5-inch Carrier Pure Air filter cabinet paired with a REME HALO LED. For the first time in the four years we've lived in this home, I woke up without a stuffy nose! We are so satisfied with our experience and have absolutely zero buyer's remorse regarding our equipment selections or this team's phenomenal support. I highly recommend Atlas AC Repair to anyone looking for a dialed-in, high-performance HVAC solution backed by a highly skilled team!

  • Awesome work on review of our system. Knowledgeable for any questions asked and going forward to future issues.

  • **Update** I went to change the filter on the ac unit for the first time and they installed the wrong size filter!!highly frustrating as this can cause blow by onto the coils which can dirty them up and cause inefficient cooling, see filter below, I would like someone to come out and clean the coils for your mistake look at the gap and how the filter is leaning! there is a sticker on the unit saying change filers every 6-12 months. What the heck all that time with the wrong size** Angel from Atlas showed up when he said completed the job and stayed and answered all my questions. Very happy with the installation and professionalism.

  • On-site survey of existing HVAC system for purposes of assessing what replacement system Atlas might propose as a bid to replace existing system. He was courteous and responsive to owner questions.

    Jim R.

  • The process from start to finish was easy. Once the tech arrived he explained what they were going to do. They were very kind walking in and out of the house. They set down the proper equipment to not damage anything. They came prepared. At the end they took the time to explain the system and go over any questions I had.

    Casey T.
