• Addendum added 9/30/26 I no longer use Aurora Plumbing Company. When you do a search on their name, the link takes you to Allen Service Company. I was not happy with their overall approach, which seemed more interested to me in just getting my business than in helping me accomplish the job. APC was family owned and dedicated to personal service at a fair price. It would seem they sold the name to Allen Service, which seems like just one more big corporation. --------------------------------------- I have used APC for 15 to 20 years now, and every experience has been excellent. Their plumbers know what they are doing, and the company treats me fairly. Most recently, Dan has been to our house twice in the last couple of months. He is expert, efficient, and friendly. In the past, we have also gotten terrific service from Steve. I wish I could remember the names of other employees they have sent to us on service calls in the past. But I know we have used APC for at least 12 calls over the years, and every experience has been good.

• We worked with APC three times. Once for a backwater valve replacement in our shower that didn't fix the underlying issue, once for an HVAC issue (should out to Malcolm who did excellent work), and a no-call no-show for air conditioning maintenance. Since when I assume they were acquired by Allen Service, we have had a significantly worse experience. Folks at their office are friendly and do what they can to help- the issues we have had are not with any individual employees. Most recently, they booked us out for an appointment several months into the future, didn't show up, and no one could tell us why that was. We will not be working with them again.

• Eh, I tried to call because I want to support a good local business, but as soon as I did it sent me to a call center where it combined several different plumbing companies. It sounds like one of the private equity consolidations that's happening everywhere and is destroying this industry from a consumer standpoint. I'm not about that, nor will I support that. I could be completely wrong, but that's the impression I got when I called, I'm sure several people have felt that way as well. If you're not private equity I would suggest getting rid of that call service, otherwise we could've been doing business. It really seems like the call service is there just to generate leads for these other companies as well as Aurora Plumbing Company. EDIT: I also just got an unsolicited follow up text that I did not request asking if Allen's plumbing could help out on anything. I didn't call that company and it only reinforces my negative feelings about Aurora Plumbing Company and this consolidation. I'm moving it from three stars to one because of the unsolicited request from a company I didn't call. What a turn off to a customer, wow. EDIT 2: I just got an unsolicited call from Allen's now asking if they could help. I didn't call them, I called Aurora Plumbing Company, not your "call center". Originally once I figured out it was a scam I hung up without talking to anyone. Now they are unsolicitedly calling me and harassing me. I would be wary calling or emailing them because they use your personal information to generate leads for these "plumbing companies". What a great group of people to do business with.

• Initially offered 1,664 to replace a high efficiency toilet (mind you the problem ended up being a fill valve replacement), or a full rebuild of the components in the tank for 1,051. He said the company typicaly does not do single part fixes. Please go elsewhere, this is a company that is out to make a buck over providing good service.

• We had an appointment scheduled with Aurora Plumbing Company this week. No one called or showed up during the first window we were provided. We called back and were told the window was actually in the afternoon. No one called or showed up in the afternoon. We called back and were told we had to be rescheduled with no explanation. So we were rescheduled for the following morning. Again, no one called or showed up. We ended up cancelling the appointment as it seemed pointless. There are many other plumbers in the area. We have used Aurora Plumbing Company extensively in the past and really loved their service. However, it sounds like they were recently purchased by someone else and it looks like that great customer service is no longer there. It's very disappointing.

Definitely recommended! 20210530- Update: Spring Tuneup done on special in less than an hour including compressor mesh cleanup! Malcolm fixed my Xcel-purchased, Emerson Sensi Smart Thermostat installation perfectly. Can't say enough good things about APC. I have been using APC for decades, and they are yet to fail me. I have had hvac, toilets, water heaters, and piping handled expertly. Caleb is the latest in a long-line of pros who do the job for me just yesterday on my water heater. • **Update** Need to modify this review. While showing our restoration contractor the work that Jason did (in prep for drywall repair), we noticed that he had not masked off the vents on the top/front of the microwave and they were filled with drywall dust and debris. After vacuuming the vents out numereous times, it is clear that the dust and debris and infiltrated the entire microwave and the dust rains down on our stove top every time we shut the door. Jason was on time, professional, explained the word completed and cleaned up everything very well
