• We had an amazing and speedy experience with BAU Mechanical! From the moment we realized we had a problem with our AC Unit, we knew we needed to call in the pros. Tim was my first point of contact. He was friendly and professional from the beginning. He walked me through some troubleshooting over the phone and based on that, explained what was likely the problem and had a service call scheduled for early the next day. Adam was the tech who reached out to confirm his ETA. He was knowledgeable, friendly and prompt! I asked if I could watch what he was doing as he worked and explained, I would never try fixing this on my own, but I like to learn. He was great! He explained what he was doing along the way. Adam confirmed Tim’s suspicions that it was likely the capacitor. He showed me the part, and explained a bit about it. Adam quickly replaced it as he had the part on hand, tested it and, voila—Working AC! Adam also cleaned the filter, and waited a few minutes after I turned it back on to ensure that when I turned it back on, all was working as expected. It was truly great to have such a positive experience with friendly, knowledgeable professionals without feeling any pressure to unnecessarily jump to the conclusion of replace our unit (which was a big worry for us!). • Our pool heater stopped working showed error code, we contacted Hayward manufacturer they provided HVAC contacts in our area. We chose Bau as they had reviews regarding pool heaters the others did not. Bau was great they were able to squeeze in service call same day and had parts on hand to repair. They had heater back up and running same day at a reasonable price as our heater no longer had warranty coverage. We highly recommended the company and service tech Ryan really knows his stuff when it comes to pool heaters. TY

• Update: after seeing this review the owner started texting my phone, threatened to sue me, and called me a coward. Stay away from this company. Wow. Downgrading from 2-star to a 1-star. Review: Ignored multiple emails while trying to schedule an appointment, didn't show up for a scheduled appointment, and then tried to sneak an extra charge onto the invoice when they finally did come. When called out, they were rude and said they'd never work with me again, then suddenly they knew how to use email and hounded me for payment even though the invoice said 30 days. They even tried to contact my relatives for payment from me. Abhorrent behaviour. Not surprised to see them deflecting blame on the other bad review.

• I’m very disappointed with my experience with BAU Mechanical. I hired them to fix my AC, and they assured me it was fully repaired and would function well for the rest of the season. However, the problem reappeared after one day. When I called to report this, they refused to take any accountability and insisted I pay again. The representative even claimed that because I wasn’t on-site, I wouldn’t know what happened — yet she herself wasn’t present either. This level of service is unacceptable. A company should stand by their work and not deflect blame or responsibility. I’ve now moved to a more reliable provider and would not recommend BAU Mechanical to others based on this experience.

• Great service on our pool heater, it has been getting old and stopped working one day, I got their card from Beechmount Pools and called for a service appointment. They came out within a few days and diagnosed it as a “loose connection” which seemed to fix the problem for a few days. Fast forward and it wasn’t working again, called them to come back and reassess, where another technician determined it to be the potentiometer for the temperature adjustment. I decided to fix it myself by re-soldering the connections, but the company was very helpful in the diagnosis, as I was stumped myself.
