• I called ClearView (acquired by Action Furnace) to inspect my hot water tank because it was leaking from the bottom. The technician quickly concluded that the tank must be replaced and said nothing could be repaired. I understand the tank is old (around 20 years), but the replacement quote of about $4,400 for a 50-gallon tank felt extremely high. What frustrated me more was that after paying $98 for diagnostics, I didn’t feel I received much value or meaningful troubleshooting. The visit became more focused on selling memberships and monthly plans than actually helping me understand my options. Without my permission, the technician also inspected my furnace and mentioned there was water leakage and that it would be documented as a “safety issue” in the diagnostic report. That felt unnecessary and uncomfortable since I had called specifically for the hot water tank. Another concern: they save your credit card information unless you specifically ask them not to. Customers should be clearly informed about that upfront. Overall, the experience felt more sales-driven than service-focused. PS - I got half the price quote from another competitor. Similar Bradford water tank with power vent and pipe changes.

• UPDATE 2025: turns out the furnace was never installed correctly and we have not had a properly functioning furnace from day 1. The tech failed to set the blower settings correctly resulting in overheating shut downs. Clearview is not the cheapest, but I had hoped they would at least be knowledgeable. Dont waste your time and money with these guys. UPDATE 2024: I am blown away by the customer service from clearview! I had a furnace warranty issue and they had it solved within 4 business hours without any Hassel. They are easy to contact and responsive. I will continue using their service! 2023 I am disappointed that the Goodman furnace they installed is considered a 'budget Friendly' brand with average quality. Same for the bradford white water heater which I've read is a bare minimum heater. I chose Clearview because I wanted it done right the first time. I think their service and install quality is top notch. Given that Clearview's prices are not for the budget conscience, I would have liked to have a better quality furnace supplied to me or even offered to me. This is the reason that a perfect score was not given - everything else was top notch

• Clearview did some work for us to install new sink and toilet. After completion we discovered a leak in the ceiling below. They cut a hole in the ceiling and replaced the supply line to the toilet claiming it had nothing to do with the toilet they installed and charged us another $800. However, it continues to leak and is clearly coming from under the toilet they installed. When we called they only have a message that says their office is closed for season (Dec 19). No emergency line and not responding to our emails. The whole situation appears suspicious and unscrupulous. As of now, we cannot use our newly renovated main floor bathroom for company that comes for the holidays. I would not recommend their services to anyone.
