Climatech was founded in 1972 by Mitchell Taback. Specializing in the installation and service of residential equipment, the company spent most of the 1970s filling a void of professional, quality oriented contractors in the Pittsburgh market. It was that same dedication to providing excellent service and quality workmanship that propelled Climatech into the commercial marketplace. In 2005 the company transitioned to the second generation. Brad Taback, President and CEO, has positioned Climatech to continue to move forward in the 21st Century as a leader in the markets we serve. Climatech started as, and remains today, a full service HVACR provider.

When I initially contacted them they responded quickly. They set up my free estimate and Mike came by and spent all the time that I needed to answer all of my questions and he explained every step of what could be done. He was friendly and professional knowledgeable and helpful. He got back to me quickly that same day with a very reasonable quote. After reviewing other similar companies it was clear to me who I wanted to select. I was able to set up my installation date in just a few days down the road and the crew showed up on time. Al and Shane we're also very helpful friendly knowledgeable and skillful. My fuse box was lacking some labels and they immediately figured out what was what and labeled the switchs for for me. They installed my heaters in a very efficient a professional manner and were very tidy and neat and cleaned up when finished. The answered all of my questions which were many LOL. I would highly recommend that you do work with them! with them.

I had the displeasure of dealing with Climatech regarding a condo in Pittsburgh. The AC stopped working and was still under warranty. I mentioned the condo was going up for sale soon and because I mentioned that, Climatech is refusing to honor the warranty. I’m confused as to their reasoning since the condo is still under my ownership and has not yet been sold. Just want to make sure people understand how this company operates before going under contract with them. Edit: In response to owner's reply I have adjusted my review rating. While I appreciate the issue finally being remedied it is unfortunate it had gone on for so long with multiple phone conversations taking place. Thank you Climatech for honoring your warranty.

Great experience with ductless split ac installation. The initial quote was detailed and reasonably priced. Options were explained thoroughly. They were able to meet our needs in a way other companies could not (attic with slanted walls, internal walls). Shane and Al were awesome and very professional. They were respectful of our home and the installation did not create a mess at all. I highly recommend them.

I can't say enough good things about Climatech. My air conditioner failed over the weekend, and they were at my home first thing Monday morning to diagnose the problem. The timing couldn't have been worse because I was scheduled for hernia surgery on Wednesday and knew I'd be recovering at home without air conditioning on a 96-degree day. When I explained my situation on Tuesday afternoon, the team went above and beyond. They rearranged their schedule and arrived at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of my surgery to install my new Lennox air conditioner. I was able to leave for the hospital knowing everything was in good hands, with my neighbors checking in while the technicians worked. The installation was flawless, the entire crew was professional, courteous, and respectful of my home, and the price was outstanding—significantly better than some of the other quotes I received. Climatech turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a seamless experience. Their customer service, flexibility, and commitment to doing the right thing truly set them apart. I needed to install a high velocity system in my older home. Their sales person was very knowledgeable about the systems and provided me realistic feedback to set expectations. As this was an older home he set the expectations that there could be changes as we discovered things and modified in the course of the installation. He was VERY up-front with everything. Because I was doing construction the installation needed to be in phases over several months. Their scheduling folks and crews were very flexible and accommodating. They installed duct-work when I had lath/plaster removed for construction and left it unterminated until they could return to complete the install a few months later. They scheduled the SAME CREW back, who were familiar with the duct work and particulars of my install, to complete the installation. Throughout the install they worked back and forth with me and the manufacturer (Unico) to optimize the system for function space use in this older home. The Sales person made several trips here to assess, check and double-check all details during the process. They completed the final installation in record time. The system came on and functioned flawlessly. The installation is a combination of high velocity, doing the lower two floors, and an unobtrusive mini-split for the third floor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them because they were thorough, professional and delivered great results.
