While identifying and fixing the problem Jose patiently answered all my questions. He also verified that my warranty was still in effect so the repair cost less than I anticipated.

07/18: No additional context was missing from the "original request". CC was given the error Codes ahead of scheduling and during the day of prep. Hubris, and lack of training resulted in showing up unprepared. Following the manufacturer's recommendations should be the very first thing that is confirmed from the represented dealer. I doubt typical operating conditions show failed capacitors or failed boards within the first 12 months for compressor operating issues on non heat pump units. The issue was noted to be reoccurring. Perhaps giving local technicians access to experts via phone is needed to do better in the future. Primarily concerned about making a profit vs. serving the customer. Didn't have prior knowledge of their product as 1 of 2 licensed Goodman service dealers in the area, and brought no new information about the issue. Didn't troubleshoot anything beyond what the owner noted to be done, and required use of the owner's app and knowledge to make owner's suggested improvements. Left the furnace half put back together, which nearly damaged the like new outdoor unit. Bolt for the panel was nearly lost on the new equipment. Cooling went out again days later. Had a follow up on the issue days later that the owner had to research, repair, and pay more money for parts on his own on a holiday weekend. Didn't follow up in a timely manner, and upon sharing of the poor service offered no concessions or explanation for why the service was worth the cost. Asked 3 times for an invoice. Don't call this company unless you don't care what you get for your money. They charged drive time for a mid-town location in town. Ignored the information and resources offered about the problem and request for someone with knowledge of a 2-stage cooling unit prior to showing up both online and on the phone. They are apparently too important and busy to stay up on technology after 2018. Service manager was responsive to the complaint. Unfortunately, they plan on only fixing the most simple issues in one visit. The correction needed was listed in the IOM manual which was installed improperly by others. Manager noted it isn't their responsibilty to know what their licensed product requires or may not always follow/check those requirements during a service call. Still unsure if the unit will keep working as of today based on the reason they were called.

They charge "time and a half" for parts if it's after hours or weekends. I can understand time and a half for labor, but they're taking advantage of people by gouging people on parts, parts cost what parts cost, time of the day doesn't change that. I was a repeat customer, they installed my ac 11 years ago, I will be finding a new company.

Jessie replaced our A/C capacitor and checked the system out. We were up and running within 4 hours of calling the problem in which is remarkable this time of year with temperatures in the nineties. Thank you !!

I called Thursday night and they got me on the schedule the next day. Tony Butler helped us and we got a call from Emily first thing in the morning. The tech came by and solved the issue with our AC with in and hour. He communicated what happened and how to ensure the issue doesn’t happen again. The house is cooling properly!!!

We had a good experience from start to finish. Andy helped us decide what HVAC would meet our needs. Duane, Chris and Pedro came and installed the units. They were courteous, clean, efficient, on schedule and got done in a reasonable time. Duane explained the new system to us after it was installed.

Controlled comfort came in and figured out how to cool our 100 year old house with poor ductwork. When our AC went out this summer, we knew finding a modern system with our old ductwork’s would be tricky. They found the right systems and took the time to figure out the specific issues at home. We loved working with our salesperson. And their team helped with every process along the way- finding the right equipment, install, fine tuning the system, troubleshooting issues, etc. We will use them again if we ever need tk get an HVAC system again in the future!

Tech was very pleasant, but definitely was working on commission. Told me no leaks, but A coil was going bad. This is a furnace that was 3 years old and under warranty till 2031. Told me it needed to be replaced and to replace all my duck work. Air Conditioning quit the next day (heat pump was new last year). When he was out he put in 8 lbs of Freon. Came back out and said he couldn’t do anything until I replaced the A coil. I contacted a HVAC service person who came out and ran leak tests. A coil is perfectly fine with no leaks. Air conditioning is working perfect and is staying where it was set at 73.Seem like tech from Controlled Comfort was looking to just sell a new A coil and duck work. I used this company in the past, but won’t in the future.

Terrible! Stole from my basement and never replaced the unit that I bought from them when they said they would. Instead the guys left w my art and vintage guitar from basement. Left everything open and just darted away.
