• I interviewed many AC / Furnace contractors after our AC went out and the furnace needed to be replaced too; it was on its last leg. I got the recommendation for Controlling Systems through ChatGPT and they didn't disappoint. The sales process best of the bunch. Chris, our sales rep. took the time to do a manual J measurement throughout the house to ensure we were getting the right system for the house, which none of the other contractors even considered. After showing me all the options, we went with their RUUD top of the line system which came with a multi stage furnance, variable stage AC, and a heat pump. They applied the rebates offered by Xcel, so we didn't have to wait for the rebates, we just signed over the rebates to them during the sales process. The installers were top notch, kind, and ensured they took good care of our home. I couldnt be happier and highly recommend them. From a price point, they came out thousands less than the closest competitor, and I'd note the closest competitor wasn't willing to do a transfer of the rebates. We would have had to claim those after the sale.

• Had controlling systems come out here to fix my mini split that wasn’t cooling. Originally had a different tech from another company come and he overcharged the system and I told them that. Once they fixed the over charge they were dead set on convincing me that was the issue even though I kept telling them it wasn’t cooling before and was the main reason a different tech overcharged the system in the first place . Then seemed to stump every technician that came and told me my system was running as it should be even though it couldn’t cool my apt lower than 73 and just told me it’s just hot outside. It wasn’t until I hired different company to come diagnose my system where they told me I had line leaks and provided photos. I send them over to Rudy the manager and he had notice my line set was the wrong size for my mini split. They did offer a heavy discount for replacing my line set for their mistake. After it was installed they tried charging for a quote that included line hide that was $400 dollars more that they didn’t install and I had tell them that the quote was wrong. They also said afterwards my system might be low on refrigerant after the install but it’d take too long to check so it wasn’t something they wanted to do. Afterward the cooling was slightly better but again after contacting them they said they’ve done everything correctly and convinced that all their work was right and told me if I wanted them to come add more refrigerant if it was low they’d do it for free or they’d charge me and I tried confirm if checking regardless was free and this is when they stopped responding to me all together. even after calling asking for all the numbers they got from my system and never received any return calls back. I would skip this company altogether and just look up certified technicians for your mini split from their website. If it wasn’t for the discount I received they’d get 1 star
