• am very disappointed with the service I received. When the technician initially came to inspect my AC cooling issue, he checked the system and confirmed that the refrigerant level was low and that there was a refrigerant leak somewhere. He then went into the attic and performed additional checks, but the source of the leak was not clearly identified. I specifically asked the technician where the leak was located. I was told that the leak was inside and that it had been fixed. The technician then added approximately 4 lbs of refrigerant, and I was charged $535 for the refrigerant. I also purchased a one-year membership and paid approximately $74 for the technician/service visit after the membership discount. Before agreeing to the refrigerant refill, I specifically questioned the technician about the leak and asked why I should pay for refrigerant when the actual source of the leak had not been properly identified. I was told that if the refrigerant leaked again, they would come back and refill it within approximately four months. However, within only one week, the AC stopped cooling again. I contacted the company again regarding the cooling problem, and another leak inspection was scheduled. This time, two technicians came to the property and performed a leak search. I was charged an additional $250 for the leak-search service. After inspecting the system, they determined that the evaporator coil was leaking/broken and told me that the entire system may need to be replaced at an estimated cost of approximately $12,000. My biggest concern is the quality of the initial diagnosis. A professional HVAC service should properly investigate and identify the source of a refrigerant leak before charging the customer for approximately 4 lbs of refrigerant. If the evaporator coil was the actual source of the leak, the refrigerant refill was only a temporary solution and resulted in an unnecessary expense because the refrigerant leaked out again within approximately one week. I relied on the technician's professional assessment and specifically asked about the leak before authorizing the refrigerant refill. I expected the underlying problem to be properly diagnosed rather than simply adding refrigerant to a system with an unresolved leak. In total, I have paid for: $74 – Technician/service cost after membership discount One-year membership – purchased during the initial service $535 – approximately 4 lbs of refrigerant $250 – additional leak-search service The AC stopped cooling again within one week, and the subsequent leak inspection identified the evaporator coil as the source of the leak. I am very concerned that I was charged for refrigerant and then had to pay an additional $250 for a leak search, when the underlying issue should have been properly investigated during the initial service visit.

• They say you should always get a second opinion. Well, I’m really glad we did! Our AC went out, and the first HVAC company that came out told us our breaker was bad and that we needed to call an electrician to replace it before they could look any further into the problem. He also gave us honest options. repair our 20 year old air conditioning system or consider replacing it. There was no pressure, just a straightforward explanation of our options. We’ve had several AC and HVAC companies work on our home over the past 20 years, and Cool Experts is the first company that has really taken the time to explain our system to us in a way that actually made sense. Hands down, the most knowledgeable HVAC technician we’ve ever had come to our home. He was professional, thorough, patient, and genuinely seemed to care about helping us.
