Marcus did the annual boiler checkup. Professional, patient and extremely knowledgeable. Answered all my questions AND my dog was so impressed she didn't even bark. Couldn't ask for more.

Fast, professional, and tidy. Marcus replaced two kitchen sink drains and rebuilt the undersink plumbing. Great service, highly recommend.

Inflexible and lack knowlegde. Had to be called out repeatedly because they could not figure out solutions. Would not recommend. EDIT: I did call a few days ago and was told you won't service my home anymore because I expressed my concerns with membership fees escalating/services decreasing without proper communication to clients.

Five stars for the professional and hard work of the technicians who installed my AC. Minus a star for the sales guy who walked back on the thermostat offer after the installation by saying it shouldn't have been in the offer in the first place. Minus a star for bringing the wrong unit and hadn't I checked they would have installed not the one we had agreed on. Minus a star for the fact that it takes more than 4 hours to bring down the temperature by 2°. And this is by a 2.5 unit they said would be overpowered for my house.

TL;DR. An awful experience. Lots promised, not delivered. Paid for installation of two split units and sold on this being ONE day. We are currently working to schedule our FIFTH visit and we still do not have a working system. And to make matters worse, Dr. HVAC charged the credit card we provided for the deposit for the entire remaining balance WITHOUT our prior authorization / permission (and for a non-working system no less). Timeline: 1. First visit - Dr HVAC did not bring an electrician (even though they pre-inspected property and knew electrician was needed). 2. Second visit - Dr HVAC sent an electrician to inspect the property to ensure the next install visit would go smoothly In the meanwhile, Kim from Dr. HVAC asked if the remaining balance could be charged to the credit card we used for our deposit (i.e., BEFORE the job was even done / units were working). I told her 'no' because our installation was unfinished and that we might use a different card. She charged the card anyway without my consent / authorization. Thankfully we had available balance, but if we didn't, I checked online and the charge could go through and we could get fined (or credit score dinged). Pretty sure not legal... 3. Third visit - The electrician (Travis) came and said he wasn't informed from previous electrician that we had a finished basement and needed to figure out how to add power without wrecking the basement aesthetically. After attaching power, he then claimed the units were working by showing that they turned on. However, after he left, it became clear they were not working as they quickly showed error codes within minutes of being turned on (due to outdoor unit being broken). No cool or hot air. When we called Dr. HVAC, we learned that the electrician was supposed to do a thorough quality control check to ensure everything operated correctly before leaving, including the outdoor heat pump, which he did not. 4. Fourth visit - We asked Dr. HVAC to send a new unit to replace the broken one. instead, they sent a technician to see if he could get everything working. While he was very nice (Paolo was one of the only bright spots in our experience), he figured out that Dr. HVAC gave us a 'lemon' outdoor heat pump. Dr HVAC then told us that we have to wait for a warranty claim to be processed (despite this unit NEVER working in first place). We have been fighting to get them to just give us a new unit from their inventory. The battle is ongoing... 5. Throughout this whole process, the communication and follow through of Dr HVAC has been lacking. E.g., People say they will call us at a scheduled time and just don't. E.g., We get asked to call the office and schedule more appointments to get things fixed vs Dr HVAC doing it for us. E.g., I got a boiler-plate email from Brendon (the president) saying he hoped we were satisfied and to reply back with questions or concerns, and after sharing this ordeal, I did not get a response back for a week (and only after nudging him). Despite other positive reviews, we have had a very bad experience with Dr. HVAC, and barring some meaningful corrective action, we could not recommend them to anyone. I hope the other people with positive reviews had exceptional experiences, but I'd feel remiss not to warn people that things can go very wrong with Dr HVAC too.

Please note, Dr HVAC is NOT a 24 hour service. We’ve been members with them for a little over a year. Our furnace was serviced exactly a week ago and has now stopped working. It’s below zero temperatures tonight and I have young children in the house, but have been informed that on weeknights they offer an answering service only, with no technicians on call. They only offer emergency services on weekends. Their advertising is a bit misleading if you ask me, so just be aware of what you are signing up for. Their service up until this point has been fabulous so this is disappointing to say the least. Edit: Dr HVAC was very responsive once I left this (original 2 star) review. They were apologetic for what happened and have indicated that typically an evening call would be received by the owner or manager. I was told if a technician isn’t available they will drive over space heaters until they can get someone it. I hope I never have to find out if this is accurate. It obviously wasn’t my experience but might be someone else’s. I’ve updated my review in any case because despite this mishap we have been happy with their services overall.

Original review - Mike F. from this company was able to quickly identify a problem that another company misdiagnosed twice. Highly recommend. Mike stated they were unable to locate the leak without a $1,200 dye test and recommended we go with full system replacement. Update - I subsequently had another company come in and they told me that a leak to my air conditioner was visible to the naked eye (he showed me, it was literally dripping). He replaced the exterior part of the system for much less than the cost that dr hvac would have cost given we only had to replace the condenser.

Highly recommend Dr. HVAC. We noticed a leak in our tankless water heater tonight. Within an hour of calling Kurtis had arrived and discovered the problem. He quickly corrected the problem, flushed the system and installed a surge protector we wanted for our air conditioner unit while waiting. Thanks Kurtis. Really appreciate your quick response.

Yesterday I had a sales call from Dr. HVAC and felt it was important to acknowledge deserving people. Bruna, the technician, made it an extremely pleasant experience. She maintained a highly positive attitude and was quickly able to build a relationship with me. She arrived with a heater and although I didn't need it, I immediately felt her empathy with what was a potential stressful situation (non-functional furnace). She understands how to make a real difference in a potential customer's experience. Bruna's professionalism and expertise is only one of her strengths. Bruna appeared to take great pride in explaining how furnaces work to a layman. She clearly communicated and was patient when answering questions. She never made me feel inadequate for not knowing what came so naturally to her. She is one of the best customer service representatives I've dealt with. I believe Bruna puts a high value on doing a good job, which was very much appreciated.

Bryan came to our home today and fixed our issue with our furnace. I honestly was surprised because we were told by another company that we need a new circuit board or a new furnace and they quoted us a lot of money, so we decided to opt out and call someone else, and we called Dr. HVAC today and one hour later they sent Bryan over to our home and he fixed the problem without any parts needed or new furnace, so we are so pleased and relieved that their are honest companies out in the world that don’t want to rip of people off. Thank you Bryan and Dr. HVAC for your honesty, your professionalism and of course getting my issue fixed so fast. Again Thank you and will always recommend your company to anyone looking for a reputable company in this field. A million times thank you.

Extremely poor customer service. I was contacted by the company to have a “free ac” checkup. Even though I have never had any issue with my ac, I booked a visit. Immediately after the visit, my ac stopped working. I have made numerous calls to the company and no one returns my calls. Be aware and stay clear of this company. By the way, the tech always asks for a good google review so that you can get a discount on products that you don’t really need.

Great experience dealing with them. Steven Berry came out to perform maintenance on the furnace and AC. He discovered issues with the aircon requiring a new one. Very quickly they had Andrew over to discuss options. Within a few days Danny the technician had the new system up and working like a dream. Throughout they had extremely prompt responses and service at a competitive price. Very impressed with the overall service. Definitely would recommend to others.

Steve Berry came out to do a first-year check on our 2-stage Trane furnace today that was installed a bit over a year ago. We were very impressed with his professionalism. He completed a comprehensive check on the furnace and everything is doing well. Steve left us with an email right away with all the details of everything checked and the results. We will be moving away this year so we have all the information on the check for new potential buyers to be confident that it has been taken care of well and they will be taken care of themselves by Dr HVAC. Before leaving, he took the time to answer my wife's and my questions about the furnace and pleasantly took the time to explain to us how it operates. If Steve and Dr HVAC are coming to your door to do work for you, be it for a new furnace, repair, or maintenance check, you are in good hands as my wife and I were. We were equally as happy when the furnace was installed by them initially.
