  • We could not be happier with the service we received. We consulted 15+ HVAC companies before going with Eastwing. They were able to get us an appointment right away to replace our unit, they were completely upfront about the cost and warranty. Most importantly, the two service folks who came in to do the install were incredibly respectful, kind, and cleaned up after themselves even better than we could have! I can’t recommend them more. Paul was also super kind and easy to deal with to get everything set up. We made the exact right choice and I thank them so much for the service they provided.

  • *removed original post, however important to note that their employee attempted to aggressively push their way back into my unit after I tried explaining this mess left behind and a broken family heirloom.

  • I had an issue with my heat pump on Sunday. Called in and made an appointment, but a slot opened up earlier that worked for me. Office staff and the tech that arrived at my home were very professional and courteous. Tech found the issue after troubleshooting and got my system up and running in about an hour. I was very pleased with my service call.

  • Ducted heat pump installed in my new home 4 years ago and while we’ve had a couple of issues with the unit itself, the service has been great no issues.

  • Had a heat pump installed. It replaced an older one that was not working. The installation was exceptional. Later, there was a problem with the new unit. The office arranged for a technician to take care of the problem. I am very happy with the sales and service from this company and highly recommend them to anyone.

  • We've been customers for 10 years now and we have Eastwing out every year for servicing. Recently had an issue with the heat pump and they were prompt, they kept our costs low and when it persisted they were back and more than fixed the issue. In an age where customer service seems hard to find, you'll find it in spades at Eastwing. We were blown away by our recent experience & we can't recommend them enough.

  • Excellent service! The technicians are professional and knowledgeable. The office staff are really great, and caring (excellent customer service). The rates/invoices are very reasonable. I have been with EW for the last 17 years, and they never let me down. Raj

  • Staff in the office were great. Technician who came to service my air exchange was knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge with me. Price was reasonable for parts compared to eBay and Amazon. I would definately recommend them. Only thing I would have liked better would be if they had credit card as an option to pay. I'm sure I'm not the only one but can only speak for myself.

  • Very helpful and great service.

  • Professional, Fair and Great Customer Service! What more can you ask for? Unfortunately our heat pumps required some major repair shortly outside of their warranty period. Paul and the team at Eastwing were able to walk us through our options and were able to get us very fair pricing on an entire new system. The installers came one or two weeks later and were efficient, on time, professional and great to deal with. We really appreciate the great install, service and love our new heat pumps!

  • Had a vanity installed by Mister Hot Water Heater, a company of Eastwing. Had excellent service by Andrew and Matthew (a student). Two very efficient, polite and friendly plumbers. They had to move pipes to accommodate a larger vanity. Couldn't be happier with the workmanship. We highly recommend Mister Hot Water Heater for any plumbing work. Mark & Debby Shantz

  • Clogged bathroom drain. Excellent service on the phone when I called, prompt attention to setting up an appointment time quickly and very capable and efficient service in our home. Andrew did a great job. Problem solved at reasonable cost. Will certainly recommend and also call on them again if need be.

  • Eastwing products were nothing but professional throughout the entire process of having our heat pump installed. They responded quickly to our request for a quote and the visit was conducted in a covid safe manner. The heat pumps were installed promptly and a thorough demonstration was given. I would recommend Eastwing products to anyone looking to have a heat pump installed.

  • Connected with them through insurance to fix a defrost sensor on my heat pump. Technician didn't diagnose problem on initial service call even though I told him it wasn't defrosting properly and showed him a picture, he said it was working fine (it was 5° that day). Sent another picture the very next night and he immediately diagnosed the problem over the phone based solely on the new picture which looked exactly like the one he had already seen while at the house. Running into the same issue again, and they can't even tell me if there is warranty on the part they installed, and want to charge $100 just to come look, and then $75/hour for labour after that to fix again. Installing faulty parts and charging on each subsequent visit seems like a great business model, but its a no from me.

  • TL;DR - Great company, extremely competitive pricing, exceptionally professional/helpful staff, HIGHLY recommended. Long version: We moved to Halifax in 2020 and the home we purchased is primarily heated by electric baseboard (right now our power bill comes in between $4-500 a month), with no cooling options. We investigated multiple heating/cooling changes with multiple companies, and Eastwing was one of the top recommended companies by many friends and our realtor. We eventually committed to getting a 18,000BTU ductless heat pump with two heads on the main floor and I've broken down the experience from start to finish for easier understanding. Quote: To be upfront, we appreciated the recommendations from our relator and friends, but ultimately it was Paul (sales/quotes) that sold us on Eastwing. Paul came out to give us two separate quotes (one in January, one in July). Both times he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the different systems, specs, pricing, and any question I threw at him. Every time I contacted him he responded within an hour of receiving the email and came out to look at the house within a few days of responding to the quote requests. He was never pushy, and quick to point out where we could optimize placement within the house. I'd have no issues recommending Paul to anyone considering heating/cooling/ventilation changes/upgrades within their current home as he certainly doesn't employ the greasy sales tactics that many other companies used when I asked for quotes (i.e. pushing different systems, upselling unit sizes, "limited time deals," etc.). He was never pushy, just willing to represent his company, the products, and provide as much information to us as we wanted without attaching any pressure to our decision making process. Scheduling/Payment: We opted to finance through NS Power, and the approval process was quite easy. Angela facilitated the entire "loan" application through NS Power, and advised of us costs/term/etc. She was very helpful, and prompt in responding to any questions/concerns we had. This process was the longest part of the whole process, it took a little over a week for NS Power to get back to us, which is in no way a reflection on Eastwing! Install: The afternoon that the paperwork was in order with NS Power, we were informed by Angela and Paul, and the work was scheduled for the next day. The installers (Shane and Pete) arrived at 0830 sharp and were very quick in doing the work survey and explaining the process to us. Shane primarily worked on the interior units while Pete concurrently setup the runs on the side of the house and the condenser foundation. Pete was really good at pausing work to explain what he was doing and taking the extra time to make sure everything looked/worked perfectly. Additionally, Shane stood out by taking time to explain to our toddler what was going on, showing him tools, the holes in the wall, and all that sort of stuff. The install was done very quickly (completed around 2pm the same day). Further, Shane provided a very in-depth explanation of the system, how it works, remote usage, maintenance, cleaning, etc. At no point did we not understand what was going on, and never had any hesitation to ask questions. They paused work multiple times to answer questions from my wife and I, and make sure we understood what was going on. The electrician (not sure if he works independently or for Eastwing) was really good as well, he even highlighted an issue not related to the job that would have gone unnoticed (loose mast on the side of the house) and potentially created a larger problem down the road. All in all, the whole install team was fantastic, efficient, and very professional. Overall: I am exceptionally satisfied with our new system. I would highly recommend Eastwing to anyone considering HVAC changes. Not only are the quotes competitive, but you'll get to work with ultra-professional people, who are all personable, live in the area, and treat customers like family. If there was a recommendation above highly recommended I'd give it!

  • I would advise consumers to think not twice but three times before doing business with Eastwing. I called Eastwing in regards to my Heat Pump not working. I was very clear when I spoke with Angela that I didnt want to waste money on a service call that I could put towards the purchase of a new unit. Angela told me there would be no charge for the initial service visit. During the initial service visit the Eastwing determined that the Heat Pump required a new transformer. Angela called me the following week to say that the replacement Transformer would be $75 plus $178 for the initial service call and install of the new part. However, I was told by Angela that there would be no charge for the initial service call and estimate. Turns out that was a lie ! Futher, it was only after the new part had been ordered and the appointment scheduled. did Angela inform me that there is a chance that the heat pump may still not work after the new part is installed. I asked why hadnt the service tech advised me of this fact? No answer was provided. When the Eastwing service tech returned to install the new transformer, he advised me that the new transformer was larger than the old transformer. He then spent an hour trying to make it fit, only to end up having to mount it to the exterior of the heat pump. When the part was finally installed the Heat Pump was still not working. The Eastwing service tech then advised me I needed a new thermostat. He informed me it would be $325 for a new Honeywell thermostat. When I googled the Honeywell 8000 it was the 'Cadillac' of thermostats. FYI I ordered a Honeywell thermostat online for $70. Talk about price gouging ! Later that day I received a call from Angela saying Eastwing would not install the thermostat because they could not warranty it. I told Angela I wasnt asking them to warranty it but just to install it. She then advised me shouldnt wouldnt send the service tech back to install the new thermostat. Today I received the Invoice from Eastwing. Not only is it much higher than what I was quoted but I have no idea if the Heat Pump is even fixed ! What consumer will pay for a service call when they dont even know if the issue has been fixed, not to mention being billed higher than was originally quoted ! I highly recommend contacting someone other than Eastwing !!! However, if you do make a poor decision like I did by choosing to do business with Eastwing, make sure you get something in writing, other wise you will end up being over billed like I was. p.s. I would give Eastwing NO STARS but that isn't an option.
