I truly cannot say enough good things about this plumber! Tonight, my water suddenly stopped working and, as a single mom, I honestly felt so stressed and overwhelmed not knowing what to do. I reached out to him for help, and he responded almost immediately. Even though he was miles away, he took the time to talk me through everything, help me figure out what was wrong, and patiently walked me through the steps to diagnose and fix the problem. He went completely out of his way to help me, and he didn’t stop until we got my water working again. That kind of kindness and willingness to help means more than I can put into words, especially when you’re a single mom trying to handle everything on your own. He could have easily told me I needed someone to come out, but instead he took the time to help me remotely and saved me from an incredibly stressful night. I am beyond grateful for his time, patience, knowledge, and kindness. ❤️ If you ever need a plumber, I highly, highly recommend him. Not only does he know what he’s doing, but he genuinely cares about helping people. He went above and beyond for me tonight, and I will never forget it. I was dealing with a stressful situation with my MonoDrive constant pressure system late on a Friday evening. Even though it was well after hours, James took the time to troubleshoot the issue with me over the phone completely for free. He walked me through checking the ohms readings to test the line resistance, pinpointing the problem with expert precision. His knowledge, patience, and willingness to help a stranded customer out-of-hours speak volumes about the integrity of this business. I was adding a second toilet upstairs tying in to the old pipe stack with very limited joist bay space. It's an old house with narrow wall and ceiling cavity. James was professional in handling some misunderstanding and I’m glad I stuck it out with them. He came over and we went through several possible plans for the job until we found an approach that worked best for the space. Guston is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. He solved what initially seemed like a very complex plumbing issue and made it look easy. You can really tell he has years of experience and understands how to problem-solve efficiently. Evan was also great to work with and a solid extra set of hands throughout the project. Overall, the team was professional, timely, fairly priced, and provided great value for the work completed. I’m very happy with the final result and would definitely recommend them.

I called Halifax Plumbing and Heating on Monday at 7:30 am to inquire about a Hot Water Tank replacement appointment. ( the leak happened on Sunday afternoon ). Talked to James and secured an appointment on the same day @ 12:30 pm. Arrived home from work after 11 am, informed James and the technician arrived before 12 noon. Very impressed. Technician Guston was very knowledgeable and workmanship was professional and great team work to drain the tank, removed it, installed the new one and all were done in about an hour. Very impressive time. If I run into household plumbing issues in the future, I will for sure use their services again. 5/5 for sure

Just adding an update after my first review 5 months ago. I used Halifax Plumbing 2 or 3 more times and found the service top-notch. They are super responsive, fix things promptly and tell you if you don't need something. I saved $700 when they were honest and told me the part for a toilet would be $22–not $700. I'll keep coming back, for sure. Very happy with them!

I decided to do some cleaning under the sink and created a leak when trying to move a water pipe! This is why I don't like cleaning. I contacted Halifax Plumbing and Heating. I ended up speaking with the owner, James, who described the fix required after looking at the picture I texted him. He was comforting and reassured me it would be a quick fix. His crew showed up the next day to repair the leak. Lead by Gaston, the repair took less than an hour. Gaston and his apprentice were very polite, worked without leaving a mess behind and answered all of my questions. The service was top notch! I would not hesitate to recommend Halifax Plumbing and Heating for anyone who requires any plumbing work!
