• Disappointing experience. We have satisfactorily bought 2 fireplaces from the previous owners. We moved and had 2 defunct fireplaces to repair. We were charged $464 for a 1.25 hour consultation and at the end of this time we had no working fireplaces. We had a diagnosis for one, easy fix after we made a trip to the hardware store and installed a new thermostat. We were told we would get an opinion fireplace from one of the technicians about the second fireplace. There was no follow through. An internet search tells us it needs a new solenoid. We don't have the skill set to replace this, so we are left looking for someone who can help. The technician spent some of our 1.25 hour consultation carefully measuring our fireplaces, hoping to sell us new ones. So if you are hoping for someone interested in fireplace repair, I would look elsewhere.

Enter HEATWAVE who went to bat for us and arranged for Bosch to replace our unit with a complete replacement even though our warranty had expired 6 months ago !! • Not satisfied. Not recommending- period. Installed Noritz on demand tank in 2017. Since 2020, I have been calling a plumber a couple of times per year. Oh, I tried to get help from the heatwave first, but there was either no answer or no help available. Today, I called a plumber again, and he called Noritz tech support. We found out that they used ABS for intake pipe, which was not supposed to be used for this unit. I had to check the installation booklet again - there is no ABS. Noritz tech supports were saying we should change the whole pipe. This unit has been a problem since it was installed, and hearing from Noritz that the wrong pipe was used is making me so upset. Do not use this company. - my two cents.

• At the start of Summer our Rinnai natural gas wall heater started acting up and we called Heatwave as they were who we originally purchased the unit from. Over the Summer Bren made several trips to our residence to try and sort out the problem. The travel associated with the service calls alone probably totaled over $1000. Nevertheless, it was a struggle to deal with the manufacturer, despite Bren’s best efforts and nothing he tried seemed to fix the unit. As the weather started to change and because this was our only source of heat we were starting to get nervous as Fall approached. It was here that Heatwave stepped up and offered to just eat the cost of the service calls and to sell us a new until at cost. This is the type of customer service that is lacking nowadays and it was greatly appreciated. In my opinion Heatwave went above and beyond to make this right and they deserve your business.

• Heatwave Plumbing and Heating have provided me with very good quality workmanship and service. I had my old hot water boiler and electric domestic hot water tank replaced with a high efficient gas fired boiler and high performance indirect hot water heater. Now I have better heating control of my home and cost savings on my gas bill. The high-performance indirect water heater is the best of both worlds, hot water on demand and an endless supply of high-volume hot water. The biggest problem of a combination boiler is the volume of hot water, it’s fine for a single person or a couple to use sparingly but doesn’t work for a family with kids. The owner, Bren O’Connor, suggested the high efficient boiler and high-performance indirect hot water heater, I cannot thank him enough for this knowledge and insight. We do not run out of hot water no matter how many baths and showers are taken. Bren brings in an excellent level of knowledge, quality of workmanship and service.

• Hi We used heatwave to replace a traditional gas boiler with a modern condensing boiler and integrated hot water (Nti trx150 and s20w)in a house with an old cast iron radiator system. They responded promptly with a quote that was fair. We liked their locality and the product quoted was made in Canada. I was able to speak directly with the owner Bren who is hands on and performed the install. He and an assistant handled a decent amount of work in short order with minimal disruption. They were on standby during commissioning answering the phone at any time. We have been using the system for a couple months. It heats the house Powerfully and quietly ,while providing as much domestic hot water as we require without the 2 giant hotwater tanks. You can see what it's up to ,how much energy its using, change temperature, ect. All from your phone. Definitely way more efficient than old system (that i thought was pretty good). To early to quantify but our last bill was decent. To wrap up...... So far so good. I wouldn't hesitate to use heatwave plumbing and heating again. Thanks.
