• I don’t normally leave reviews like this, but we’ve been dealing with the same AC problems all summer. JRV has been to our house at least 18 times and we still don’t have an answer. We live in a new build and have been here for almost one year. This is a brand new AC system that was installed by JRV. It started with very high humidity and vents sweating so badly that water was dripping from them. We also had a condensation pipe sweating inside the wall. JRV had insulated the pipe inside the wall cavity. When the wall was opened, mold was found behind it. We then found mold under sinks, in closets and in other areas of our home. Our humidity readings ranged from the low 60s to 77 percent. JRV found that our fresh air intake wasn’t working at all and replaced it. They later placed monitors throughout the house. After monitoring everything, they told our builder the system was working properly. They blamed the condensation on us setting the AC to 68 degrees at night. The house would only reach 68 around 2 or 3 in the morning. Now it won’t reach it at all. Their explanation also didn’t make sense because the vents were still sweating during the day when the thermostat was set to 71. We could wipe a vent completely dry and it would be covered in condensation again. This happened every day. They later came back and replaced the evaporator coil. We were told it was a known defective part. How did that many people miss a known defective part? They changed the 4 ton indoor coil to a 3½ ton coil so it would match the outdoor unit. It helped with the condensation at first, but now the heavy sweating is fully back. About a week ago, one of their managers came out and found that the outdoor compressor was failing intermittently. How was this not caught during any of the visits before? They replaced the compressor and the house still isn’t cooling properly. We can set the thermostat to 71 degrees and the house will stay between 74 and 77 degrees. It has gotten even hotter than that. This happens even when the temperature outside is only in the 80s. We’ve had regular technicians, senior technicians and managers at our house. No one can seem to figure out what the actual problem is. One person says everything is fine. Then the next person comes out and finds another defective or failing part that needs to be replaced. How can everything be fine if they keep finding broken parts? That’s where my frustration comes from. We have shown so much grace throughout this process. We’ve made ourselves available for every appointment. We’ve followed their recommendations and given them plenty of opportunities to fix this. Meanwhile, we’re the ones living with high humidity, moisture damage, and a house that still won’t cool properly. I have pictures of the sweating vents, dripping water, mold, humidity readings and indoor temperatures. After at least 18 visits and multiple parts being replaced, we shouldn’t still be trying to figure out what’s wrong with a brand new system that JRV installed. Communication has also been very poor from the front office all the way up to management. I’m constantly the one calling and trying to get updates or figure out what happens next. Based on our experience, save yourself the headache. The only reason we’re still calling JRV is because our unit is under warranty. I would not recommend them.

• JRV Home Services replaced my mom’s entire unit, inside and out, this week. We had the privilege of speaking with Chris, the owner, and we truly appreciated his comforting approach when we received the bad news that our old unit needed to be completely replaced. One of the many things that stood out to us, and why it was a no brainer to go with JRV Home Services, was that they are a family-owned business genuinely committed to taking care of their customers. Chris also made sure my mom’s house was taken care of quickly and assigned Clint as our point of contact for the installation. Clint came out to take measurements and was very kind and, more importantly, PATIENT!! My mom, who owns the house, naturally had a lot of questions, and Clint took the time to answer every single one. He really put my mom at ease from start to finish. He even reached out later that night, once the AC had been installed, to make sure she was nice and cool. The crew that came out to install everything was very professional, respectful, and thorough throughout the entire installation. We are more than happy we chose JRV Home Services and cannot thank them enough for making what could have been a dreaded, stressful process as smooth and seamless as possible. • For about a month now this company has come to our home multiple times a week. The first time was told wasn’t a vip customer and needed parts so couldn’t get it fixed even though upstairs was over 80degrees and have two small childrens rooms upstairs. The next tech damaged our ceiling didn’t tell us dropped dabris thru the vents didn’t clean or offer to and walked in and out of the house boots on debris and all no boot covers. Put down he did work that the next crew they sent said he didn’t complete. Ac went from being quite to loud as a leaf blower. Out of all the appointments i would have to say is now up to 8 if you include the last visit that they didn’t bother showing up to at all they were on time or showed up within the call window i think twice. One time they kept pushing the appointment back and didn’t show up until past 10pm at night. My ac has run non stop 24/7 they keep saying they fixed the issue….. and the upstairs is still getting over 80 degrees during the day. The worst part is rhey said the exact same floor plan from the exact same builder has had the same issue with tons of prior clients. With all this experience you would think they would fix it….. at almost a month in they still have not fixed it and keep driving my electric bill up. After missing our last appointment they said we would have to cook in the heat until monday a few days later. We will see if they actually fix anything or if we are in for another round of nonsense and given some more runaround.

• Unable to fix my AC under home warranty. Called several times making a request for a Manual J load calculation in order to see if the AC is big enough and never got a called back. • Woke up in the morning with the AC not cooling. Called and they had a technician out on Sunday within 2hrs or so. They sent out Noel and he worked quick and efficiently. He was able to find the issue. Unfortunately I needed a part replacement, but Noel was able to bypass my temperature sensor and get my house cooling until the replacement comes in and is ready to install. Im very grateful that the customer service line was helpful and the company was able to get me some help so quickly on a Sunday.

• Extremely disappointed and angry with how JRV Home Services handled this situation. Our AC stopped working on Friday during the Texas summer. A technician diagnosed the compressor as failed and shorted to ground. The unit is still fairly new, and the compressor should be covered under warranty. We were then told they could not order the compressor until Monday. After waiting through the weekend with no AC, we were later told they could not get the part in time and could not complete the repair until Tuesday. That means my family and I have been left in a hot house from Friday through Tuesday with no working AC. What makes this even more frustrating is that they advertise 24/7 emergency service, but when we actually needed help, there was no sense of urgency and no temporary cooling solution offered. I understand that parts are not always immediately available, but the poor communication, delays, and lack of support have been extremely frustrating and unacceptable. After spending thousands of dollars on a newer AC system, I expected much better service, communication, and support. Customers should not feel abandoned during extreme Texas heat. Based on how this situation has been handled, I cannot recommend JRV Home Services.
