• Called their office number at 3:47 PM to schedule a furnace service appointment and was greeted by someone that had told me I’d called an on-call number and asked if I’d like the service performed after hours at after hours rates? I said no I’m just trying to book an appointment. They had previously called me and I called back on the number at the very top of their website in the picture attached the on-call person told me to stop calling their on-call number. I read the phone number that I had called back to her and she said that that was the office number and I said that it must’ve transferred to you. I then called back again at 3:50pm and got someone else that said it was an answering service and that I would have to call back between 8 and 4 PM in order to book an appointment with a technician. I asked if the technicians are the ones that book appointments or if it’s people in their office? I also pointed out that it was before 4 PM. I am not leaving a negative review because I actually had really good service from the technician that came and serviced my furnace last time that being said, phone service could be improved. If you make it that difficult to book an appointment during your business hours how can you expect people to book you?

• I'm giving these folks 5 stars because they *didn't* come to my house. It was the first really chilly day of the season, the start of a holiday weekend, and our furnace isn't kicking in. I emailed the furnace people we usually use - no answer. I phoned them - no answer (guess who we *won't* be calling again). My heart sank - my family was coming for holiday dinner and I wanted the house to be warm for my toddler-aged grandson. I phoned Kingston Home Heating to book a call and the very nice woman on the other end of the line troubleshot over the phone. Granted, I got my steps in running up and down stairs to the cellar, but within 10 minutes, the furnace was up and running and started doing its job. So, BIG shout-out to these folks - very nice, smart, kind, and capable. That's a lot, you know?

• We just had our Furnace go bust! AS new home owners we have called Kingston home heating twice before for minor repairs and each time they were polite, punctual and provided excellent customer service. This time we woke up to a freezing cold house, we called at 7:30am in the morning and were greeted with a helpful office manager. Less than an hour later we had a technician in our home who explained the situation and our options. Furnace was sourced and installed in our home within two days (and this included the weekend timeframe). The two technicians - Shaun and Blake were super efficient and neatly with minimal mess installed the new furnace and made sure it worked before explaining it all again to us. • My furnace packed it in Friday evening, I called the answering service at around 7PM....the technician phoned back within 10 min... he arrived at the house within an hour...spent more than two hours replacing an awkward to reach part deep inside the furnace...he turned thermostat back on ...the furnace kicked in... he wished me a good evening and out he went. • The service provider was quick. I called them at 9am and they were at my house by lunch time. My unit is brand new. We were charged for the service call because earwigs shorted out an electrical component. Im happy with the companies service but I wouldn't recommend the AC unit. I haven't even got one year out it before it was taken out by a bug. Not a very durable machine. it will be very expensive to maintain if things continue this way. four star service, two star equipment.

When it came time to replace our 32 year old electric furnace we stayed with KHH because of their history of outstanding service! We were provided a competitive quote for the work and James and Shawn arrived on time as scheduled for the new furnace installation. Both James and Shawn were professional and experienced - they did an outstanding job and went over and above taking the time to place walking tarps so as not to track things into the house and they took the time to go over the features of the new furnace and warranty with us! • Had the unfortunate circumstance that our furnace stopped working (on the Saturday of a long weekend and the cold temperatures of the winter). The trouble call was answered promptly and we had a technician at our house in an hour. Adam was not able to repair the issue on that day but was able to get the furnace working sufficiently until work resumed on Tuesday. • These guys are amazing! Our gas furnace and HRV were on their last legs and we needed a solution for retaining enough humidity in the home to maintain the warranty on our new hardwood floors. After doing research on the options available we contacted Steve (the owner) who provided practical suggestions and options. Derek, the service technician who inspected our HRV, impressed us with his knowledge of this product. Ron (the estimator) was extremely helpful and by now we knew Kingston Home Heating was the contractor we wanted to deal with. Shawn and Adam installed our new Bryant furnace, HRV and flow-through humidifier attached to the furnace ductwork. Everyone was awesome. These HVAC products have new features and technology that require experienced installers and these guys know their stuff. The work area was immaculate at the end of the job. • The tech James came out to look at our fireplace. We had another company that said "pro" come take a took and spent 2 hours and said to just replace it . I was hesitant to spend $5000 on a new propane fireplace and also hesitant to have someone else take a look and say its no good, but I'm glad we had James come out. Luckily he was able to undo and fix the problems and DIY jumpers that the last owner and company did. So far its nice and warm ! Few hundred vs few thousand dollars . My only complaint was with the Kingston Home Heating office regarding their scheduling. I made this appointment over the phone 6 weeks in advance and the service did not happen on the scheduled day. I phoned the office the morning of the scheduled service (on a Friday) and they were pleasant and assured me that I was next on their list. However by the end of the day no one had showed up and I received no phone call from their office advising me of that. Kind of unfortunate on their part since I was otherwise pleased with their service.
