• PSM has breached their agreements with multiple customers. I paid for a maintenance agreement in April 2026 and scheduled a cooling inspection for June 2026. PSM sent me an email 5 days before the inspection notifying me that they canceled my appointment and will be temporarily closed due to undergoing a reorganization. I requested an immediate refund since they breached their agreement. They issued me a credit memo but indicated that they did not know when I would get my money refunded. I filed a BBB complaint which went unanswered. I now see two negative reviews on the BBB website from other customers who have been given the same excuse. I had to hire another company and pay additional money to get my HVAC inspections done. It is now August 15th and still no refund. I doubt very much that PSM will reimburse their customers for breaching their maintenance agreements. The NC Attorney General should be notified so appropriate action can be taken against this company.

• In this business, your word is your bond. When the techs arrive they are excellent. Getting a call the morning of an appointment to say that they are canceling and can only offer another appointment over a week out is simply not a sustainable business model.

• A tech came out to service our Lennox unit and said we needed a part and it would take a week to be delivered. Two weeks later we had no word on the status of the part. Called another company. They came, ordered the part, and our unit was repaired within 72 hours. Piedmont used to be a reliable company.

• Do not work with this company. Does not honor warranty. We have been waiting through the worst summer of our lives with NO AC. My mother had brain surgery and they could CARE LESS! WE WILL BE SEEKING DAMAGES AND MEDICAL BILLS. POSSIBLY CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE. They are out here selling brand new units and cannot fix our unit after MULTIPLE service calls that we PAID for. • Where to start?…They come out to service my a/c on a Thursday, and checked “everything”. He changed one small part for $20, so I was thrilled until the next day. Friday I go outside and the a/c sounded weird and I’m thinking why is this happening he was just here yesterday? I was having no problems before he came simply for a service check up. I look at the unit and it’s running but the fan isn’t working, so I call to get a tech back out to fix it, and they were closed on a Friday! No a/c with high temperatures all weekend? I don’t think so! I called my friend to help recommend someone to help. Based on what he found on the web we determined it was the capacitor. That should have been checked the day before! I luckily found a small company with just a few guys. They came out at 4:00 on a Friday and fixed it in 15 minutes! Now, of course, I’m out another $150 since Piedmont Sheet Metal didn’t do their job.

The schedulers are polite , prompt and knowledgeable. I had service at two places in one week and they offered quick reliable service both times. Frank the technician was very pleasant and knew his stuff. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied and that my concerns were met. I needed a part that he didn’t carry on his truck but he found it and assured he would be back within a day to remedy the issue. I urge anyone needing HVAC service to call this company. • We used this company. After several service technicians coming out, they had to facetime the supervisor for help. After spending over $2000, on our current unit, we were told we needed a new air unit. I should have been told this before spending $2000 on my current unit. I was stunned by their overall behavior of it all. The technicians had NO CLUE what they are doing. Go ELSEWHERE. They NO NOT stand behind their multiple failed attempts on your unit but they will charge you for it. We lost hundreds of dollars to this company for NOTHING! I tried my best to recover all the failed service attempts toward my new unit, and was declined. It was a complete Scam due to untrained employees coming out multiple times to my house. We hired Gwyn Electric and never looked back. They have been amazing!

• I’m writing this review on July 21 on behalf of 82 year old grandparents. They have been customers of this company for 35 years and have loved it throughout. They said the owner Bill was always very responsive and any timethey had any issues he would come in and fix it. However, here recently it has been a huge disappointment. Their air conditioner went out on July 3 and my Pop called the company on July 5 for service. He was told it would be July 9 before anyone could come check it. On July 9 the service man informed them there was a leak but he wasn’t sure where it was, so he added more coolant. The coolant lasted 3 day and then it was hot in there house again. My Pop called to let them know it stopped cooling and they said wouldn’t be able to come until July 18th. When they came then, they said it was definitely a leak and they would need to order a part from Salisbury NC (my grandparents live in Lewisville NC). Today, my Pop called to see the status of the part he was told would need to be ordered and it won’t be in until next Wednesday July 27th. It’s been 17 days since their AC has been broken and will be another 6 days before the part will be in. My grandparents have been without air conditioning in 90 degree weather and their house is 85 degrees. This is upsetting to me that it appears they have been put off throughout this process and not taken seriously from a company they have been loyal to for so many years..
