UPDATED REVIEW - PLEASE READ Rating 2/5 stars for questionable business practice. These 5 star reviews for Platinum Air Care are not all legitimate. The representative would not leave our house until we showed him 5 star reviews from both my google account and my wife's google account WITH pictures. My wife and I live in an area with hard water and were interested in getting a water softner. For the whole home package (drinking water system, de-chlorinator, and softner itself) the original pricing was $10,649. After we explained that the price was more than we were expecting the representative immediately dropped the price to $8,000 if we could do a cash deal. Then threw in a duct cleaning (approx value of $500) and a "10 year supply" of soap (approx value of $800). We said we needed some time to think about it. Because its not cheap and we wanted to get a second opinion we contacted a competitor. I won't mention which company, but they have been around for 100+ years, they offered us a whole home system for $6,700 (drinking water system, de-chlorinator, water softener). I took the quote back to Platinum Air Care and they again immediately dropped the price down to 6k still with the cash discount but not the duct cleaning or soap. I told the competitor about that and they dropped it to match the 6k. We went with the competitor as they were far more professional, had a better warranty, and had a history of specializing in water services. Again to highlight, Platinum Air Care went from 10.6k down to 6k without a fuss. These representatives are salesmen working off commission, they are incentivized to charge the highest price possible and get the sale by any means necessary. If you are considering going with Platinum Air Care I would recommend you consider all your options before signing any papers.
