• I will let you judge whether to hire this contractor to work on your heating and AC unit. I called them out because my AC unit wasn’t working properly on a very hot week. They diagnosed the issue and replaced a capacitor that took 15- 30 minutes and charged me $375. I paid the bill using my cc while there. I then have another house and oddly enough, that same week, the exact thing needed replaced. It cost me $120 for the exact same thing. A capacitor cost is about $30, so they charged me over $600 per hour. I called to address the issue by asking for $125 refund which was still twice the cost of the other contractor and they said they would refund me $100 but never followed through. I texted him several times to follow up but without a response. You decide if you want this guy doing work for you. Good luck!

• I called on a Thursday, but a tech wasnt able to come until Wednesday the following week. The tech was scheduled to arrive from 3pm-6pm, but arrived at 230. By 315pm he had learned that my unit needed a new part that he didn't have in his truck. Instead of getting the part, he said he would have to come back in the morning. Since I would be at work, I would have to pay upfront, so I agreed and he left. I was not happy that I had to endure another night of heat. I then proceeded to get two more calls from the scheduling office to push back the work. It was pushed from Thurs morning, to Fri morning, to Fri afternoon. It was the hottest week of the year, I was sleeping in 90 degree heat, I had to open my windows at night which filled my house with wildfire smog, my dogs were overheating, and the company's only concern was if they had a tech nearby. The work took less than an hour to complete, it should have been done the first day if the tech was scheduled to arrive as late as 6pm.

• Although it was a very busy time of the year , Rick’s Affordable Heating was able to schedule me an appointment ASAP when nobody else would. The technician, Tyler Warns, showed up after the end of what appeared to had been an extremely busy day for him.
