We are a group of guys who likes to get our hands, dirty work, hard and have fun. Our HVAC company exists because we found that most HVAC companies in San Diego just were not good options for employment. We didn't like how they were treating their customers or their employees, and thus Surf Bros HVAC was born. We service all types of equipment from mini splits to water source systems and system so big that you can walk around inside of them. • During a heatwave, our AC unexpectedly went out late on a Saturday night. Surf Bros was one of the few HVAC repair companies that was available 24/7. Red came out at 9pm on a Saturday (a saint!), diagnosed the issue, and was able to get the parts we needed on order ASAP. He just finished repairing and not only did he do a great job, but he also walked me through everything he did and showed me in detail other things to look out for since we have an old system. I can't recommend Surf Bros enough!

A quick diagnostic revealed that the likely culprit behind the electrical issue and A/C shutting off was the Nest thermostat, which was sitting slightly loose at the connection due to a damaged latch. I got great advice on how to proceed, a little education along the way, and they reset the electrical trip and got the system running again. Next time I have an HVAC issue, I’m calling Surf Bros first and bypassing the endless review searches and inquiry calls—especially after finding other companies charging upwards of $250 just for an initial diagnostic that doesn’t even go toward the repair. Glad I found these guys. They’ll be my first call next time!

• Excellent service! We called about an issue with our LG VRF system, and he was able to come out the very same day to inspect our LG AC unit. He was friendly, professional, honest, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to LG VRF systems repair. • Despite waiting for a week because I was not in a hurry I was given a “floating” appointment- no scheduled time given. I was quoted $100 for a diagnostic visit, but then told by the technician it was $450! They weren’t sure where the leak was, did not come fully prepared (they left to get more nitrogen). Was not given a written invoice of what work had been performed. I requested one two days after they were here and was finally sent one a few days later. Very disappointed that I was quoted one price over the phone, told a completely different price by the technician and I’m still not sure what is wrong or if it can be fixed.
