• Highly, highly, recommend The Cooling & Plumbing Co! 5 stars isn't enough. After our AC went out again (it was 21 years old), my wife called another company to see about replacing the system. After sending out a few different people just to get a quote, we were frustrated by the whole process with the other company. Then we called Jay Monday at The Cooling and Plumbing Co. - What a difference! Patrick came out to have a look at our system, and we had our quotes for various options from Jay within an hour (during peak season, mind you). • Here’s my story… called a company out to replace my AC 2 years ago I chose them because my husband is a marine and I thought they would take care of me since they were advertising being a military based company. For 2 years my house has been hot and humid. Had them out several times and they keep telling me it’s normal but my old unit didn’t make my house feel hot and icky. Just had to have a compressor changed out and everyone online is saying you shouldn’t have to do that in just 2 years. I did some research and the cooling company came up as the best in town. I checked out their pictures and reviews and I was super impressed! I called and spoke to the owner, I told him what I had been experiencing and he gave me some amazing advice. I thought about it and just decided to have them come out instead of dealing with this other company. Jay sent Patrick out and he is so nice! He started outside and he found that my compressor was wired incorrectly. It’s a 2 stage system whatever that means and it was wired to work as a single stage and that’s been a huge problem and more than likely caused the compressor to go bad. He brought me outside to show me what he found and he showed me his gauges and tried to help me understand what they meant but bottom line, he said it’s way off. Then we went up in the hot attic and was up there for a while adjusting something he called a txv. Then he adjusted the Freon and we went from a noisy unit to much quieter and we started with a 6° temperature split and we had 22° when he was done. I could visually see from start to finish the change in his gauges and the temperature gauge. It’s been 3 days and my unit has been cooling the house perfectly and it’s HOT outside so I’m so thankful. I was sad because I trusted a company that promotes being a military based company but I won’t make that mistake again. Jays a veteran so I was thankful that he took care of me and also gave me a military discount so I wanted to post a review to let people know he’s honest and definitely has integrity.
