• “Thieves” is unfortunately how I would describe my experience with this company. I received extremely poor HVAC service after they incorrectly diagnosed the problem as an external coil issue. The actual problem was an internal coil leak, which was later correctly diagnosed and repaired by a different HVAC company. Despite the incorrect diagnosis, I was charged approximately $2,000 using the credit card they had on file. My subsequent calls seeking an explanation and resolution went unanswered. Based on my experience, I would not recommend or trust this company. I have filed a complaint with the appropriate contractors association and am exploring additional formal complaints regarding the charges and handling of the service.

From day one, their entire team has been nothing short of exceptional. When our refrigerator started malfunctioning, their technician, Jr., came out to inspect it. • 6/29/2026 After posting the below review, the owner Chris reached out almost immediately. He listened to my concerns and apologized for our rocky start and is doing everything he can to get things headed in a more positive direction. We have chosen to continue with True Home in hopes we have the same great experience others have had. I'll update this again when all is done. 6/29/2026 My home warranty company connected me with True Home to evaluate my AC that is not blowing cold air. True Home contacted me pretty quick & came out a few days later. Based on the reviews, I thought great, hopefully this will be a positive experience. Unfortunately, not so much. The gentleman that came, looked at the unit & determined that there is a freon leak & he was unable to locate the leak. I wasn't surprised, this is a 20 year old unit we are talking about. So what are the next steps? I was told that he'd get his report in with recommendation for a new unit to the warranty company & he made sure to let me know that even if the warranty company approved a new unit, there were some costs warranty companies don't cover. I was already aware but I appreciate that he made sure I knew. This is where things go hinky. When I asked how long could it take to get response from warranty people, he told me how it could be couple weeks or more, even couple months. At one point, recommend I get a portable unit while I wait. Said they may want him to put refrigerant in the leaking unit, without finding & fixing the leak, and just wait. I could be wrong but its my understanding, adding refrigerant to a unit knowing it will escape is an environmental hazard. The tech made sure I knew if I wanted to bypass the wait & just replace it now, they had financing options. In the end, felt like he was just here to sell me on a new unit instead of acting in conjunction with the warranty company. This service call took place on a Wednesday 6/24. I called the following Friday 6/26 to check in & ask if the recommendation/ result of service call had been sent to the warranty company & I was told, yes, it has & True Home was waiting on response. I contacted my warranty company on Monday to check their eta for response & turns out, they have not received anything from True Home. After a discussion with the events with my warranty company, they will be sending out a different company. It feels like if you're self pay, not warranty customer you get the treatment that gets the 4.9 star reviews. As a home warranty customer, seems like they signed up to take warranty calls for lead generation, scare customers into paying out of pocket & deter them from waiting for warranty folks to do their thing.

• Wow! I called on a Saturday about some issues with our AC that were called out in the inspection of our home that we are selling. My first surprise was that somebody actually answered the phone and then they proceeded to tell me they would have a technician out in a couple of hours! Joel came in about an hour and a half, not only knew what we were up against but proceeded to clarify that NOTHING was actually wrong! Then they sent a detailed report, with photos, explaining the incorrect conclusions made by the inspector to satisfy our real estate responsibilities. Oh yeah, all of this cost $89.95!!! • June 2026 update: This company is still THE BEST. We've been on their maintenance plan for 5 years now and they make sure everything is running smoothly. In October 2025, we had a roof leak we couldn't find and after having a roofing company out that said "it's not the roof issue, ask your AC company", they came out and TRUE HOME found the roof leak that the roofing company missed. I'm convinced that being with True Home all this time is what has kept our units running so well that we're not having to replace or majorly repair them like some of our neighbors that had homes built around the same time. I cannot say enough great things about True Home. We built a new house in 2018 and since then had lots of trouble with the company we were required to use. Chris with True Home came out and was honest when his work would risk negating our warranty. Now that we're out of the forced warranty period with that other company TRUE HOME AC is the ONLY company I TRUST and RECOMMEND to EVERYONE I meet. Their service is impeccable, honest, high quality, high value, timely, and affordable!! What more can you ask for in an AC and Heating company.
