  • Mikey came to our apartment yesterday within an hours notice. We had just moved in that day and he went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. He was knowledgeable, helpful and replaced the garburator which was broken! We would definitely get in touch with Mikey and Whyte plumbing again!

  • Overall great experience dealing with the Whyte team to install a replacement furnace and new heat pump in my home and so far everything is running smoothly. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and very respectful of my home.

  • I managed to drop my keys down the toilet (don't ask) and called Whyte Plumbing in a but of a panic. Technician came out next day, was upfront about cost before starting and had my keys back in my hand and the toilet working within 20 minutes. Professional, quick I would absolutely call them again for any issues.

  • After not getting replies from other installers (and one not offering a free estimate), I submitted a request to Whyte Mechanical to replace our old Allied Engineering Company gas boiler (for hydronic heating) from the '80's on Jun 1st 2026. (The old boiler was having a hard time keeping up with the winter weather.) Within hours, they got back to me. Aaron came to survey the site on Jun 2nd. I got an estimate the next day. The removal and the installation started on Jun 8th and ended on Jun 11th. Taylor did the removal and installation while Conor did the configuration of the Viessmann condensing boiler. I can understand the difficulty in re-arranging all the pipes. Since it is still Summer, it is too early to test the Winter performance. However, the new system has been very quiet during operation. I am happy with the new installation so far. One thing I want to comment is the carpet protector used. The adhesive is too strong.

  • We recently worked with Whyte Mechanical to design and install a Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump system with four indoor units, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The process began with Aaron, who took my initial call and visited our property. He was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely helpful in guiding us through the available options and helping us determine the right solution for our home. Once the project moved forward, Shane managed the installation and made sure everything stayed on track. Communication was clear throughout, and the entire process was organized and professional. The installation itself was completed by Dillon and Niall, who spent four days working in our home. They were outstanding. They arrived on time every day, treated our property with great care and respect, kept the work area clean, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. They were professional, courteous, and clearly took pride in the quality of their work. Most importantly, the finished system has exceeded our expectations. The Mitsubishi heat pump works incredibly well, our home is noticeably more comfortable, and the outdoor unit is remarkably quiet—so quiet that it’s difficult to hear even when standing right beside it. Whyte Mechanical delivered exactly what they promised, from the initial consultation through to the final installation. The entire team was knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Whyte Mechanical to anyone considering a heat pump installation. If you’re looking for a company that will help you find the right solution and execute it flawlessly, this is the team to call.

  • Michael from Whyte Mechanical did a really fantastic job replacing our water heater tank and installing a Moen Flo leak detection/auto shut off system for us. He was on time, tidy and organised, did everything carefully and was informative about what he did and how it all worked. He even took the time to go and get extra parts to add more stability to the pipes around our tank - extra effort that many plumbers might not have bothered to do. Also just a nice guy, friendly, polite and easy to work with. We'll definitely be back for whatever projects we have in the future! 10/10 recommend.

  • I had a great experience working with Whyte Mechanical. They completed a furnace upgrade to my house in February 2026 and were wonderful to work with. Super knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and a great crew! I'm very happy with my new furnace and the work they did. You can feel confident with their work- I highly recommend Whyte Mechanical. Thank you Conor and team!

  • I called about the leak, and they came and fixed it very quickly. Amazing Job. Definitely recommended.

  • We’ve had Whyte Mechanical provide HVAC services in the past (heat pump installation at our previous address) so when our in-floor heating system at the new place quit, we didn’t hesitate to call. Both Diarmid and Michael were friendly, professional, and did a great job in identifying the issue then repairing the system in a timely fashion. Highly recommended.

  • Amateur service at a premium cost. Cannot recommend. I received three unsolicited texts insisting I review, so here you are: I was referred to Conor Whyte, whom I texted. After a couple business days with no response I called and left a message on a generic "this customer is unavailable" voicemail inbox. My call was returned by someone else who met me with "What do you want?" despite both my text and voicemail including that detail. I offered the make and model of dishwasher to further outline the job, but that information was declined. On the service date 'Mikey' (Michael?) was polite and respectful, although made two comments that revealed he had never installed this brand of dishwasher (Bosch). He eventually informed me he was unable to fit the thread for one connection, suspecting it was previously used or damaged. After at least an hour of Michael repeatedly leaving to 'try other parts' from his truck and searching on his phone, as well as my own time spent on the phone with the retailer preparing an exchange, Michael found a bag of 'missing parts' inside the dishwasher. After this was resolved, Michael continued to intermittently disappear, presumably continuing the repeated trips to his vehicle. The install required a power outlet, instead of the loose wires for the previous model, so Michael installed one, under the sink, facing up. I told him there can be minor water leakage in that area and an open outlet is an obvious hazard. He shrugged it off and told me to get a child safety plug. I will be either relocating the box or obtaining a proper waterproof housing. All in, the service took three hours. I did have Michael assess another job, a tub drain incorrectly installed by a previous plumber, that he was unable to action on. Let's be generous and say that was one hour, so our dishwasher install took two. The invoice was unexpectedly high, revealing I was quoted not by the hour but by the 'half hour', effectively doubling their rate. I called out this discrepancy, as well as the excessive time lost, but received no further response, likely because I paid their full invoice, which I regret doing. I feel disrespected and taken advantage of. TLDR: + Job was completed - Poor communication - Inexperienced - Wasted at least one full hour - Left with an electrical hazard I need to resolve on my own. - No acknowledgement of shared concerns

  • They did a great job and I will have them back again. Michael from Whyte plumbing spent considerable time diagnosing a complex issue with a hot water on demand system and was able to resolve it. It required ordering a new part and within a few days, they came back to complete the service.

  • Chris did an amazing job helping us install a new generator recently. The entire project ran smoothly from start to finish, with clear planning and communication at every step. He is very knowledgeable about all generator-related matters and provided thorough analysis and suggestions regarding location, capacity, and the installation process. He was also fully transparent about all associated costs. The build quality is also superb, with solid materials used for the pipes and power lines, adding to our peace of mind for all gas- and electric-related components. It was a pleasure working with a professional like Chris, and I would gladly recommend his services.

  • It was the day before Christmas and our boiler stopped functioning. We were recommended Whyte Mechanical through our plumber as he was on holidays and they were able to do a service visit that day.Diarmuid was our technician and was able to fix the issue which happened to be the ignition regulator. He was great AND came on Christmas Eve day! Great service and highly recommend!

  • I hired Whyte for two projects: some outdoor plumbing work and the installation of a dual-fuel system. My experience with Whyte Mechanical was mixed. Aaron, who handled sales, had a somewhat assertive style but was helpful. He arrived on time, answered questions, and generally replied when I emailed/called. Mikey, who did the plumbing, was easy to work with and completed everything as promised. The crew that installed the dual-fuel system was friendly and seemed competent. However, there were some challenges with the install and perhaps a lack of familiarity with the system. They also missed bolting down the air-handler unit and didn’t fully clean up materials afterward. These issues left me uneasy about overall quality control. The biggest problems came from the office. Getting the rebate paperwork took many weeks and required a lot of follow-up. Promises from admin staff to get back to me were rarely kept. When the reports finally arrived, an error held up the process further. The office also failed to request an inspection from the City permits office. Meanwhile, they sent automated emails/texts that were inaccurate or irrelevant. Connor was notably unresponsive when I reached out, which surprised me given his leadership role. I don’t know if he was simply overwhelmed, but the lack of communication made the experience frustrating. My impression is that Whyte is growing—possibly faster than they can manage. If that’s the case, they may eventually sort out these operational issues. Still, they have work to do to meet the expectations set during the sales process. I share this review with mixed feelings. The technicians who came to my home were timely, friendly, and largely professional. That said, if a friend asked whether I’d recommend Whyte, I’d be reluctant to do so.

  • Technician was very efficient. He left me with full confidence in functionality and safety. I will be calling on Whyte for our needs in future.
