• We have been doing business with Zimmerman A/C for 40 years. We started with the founder Larry Zimmerman honest, hardworking, and a true craftsman. His son Luke carries on his legacy. They recently replaced a unit for us their crew arrived put down tarps covering the walkways they were using and installed the unit on a very hot September day. Afterwards I saw them vacuuming the whole walk way even though it had been covered I told them they didn’t need to do that as they had been up in the heat of the attic all day his response “it’s part of the job sir!” Also Carla in their office worked the schedule to get the install done sooner as we were expecting a visit from our kids. Quality American Standard products, honesty and craftsmanship (the unit they removed was put in by Larry, Luke’s Dad 19 years ago!) Great people I highly recommend them and won’t let anyone else touch my HVAC systems!

• Spent over $15,000 and they didn’t install our AC unit correctly. We’re having ceiling leaks and water dripping outside our house. They put the drainage through our sink, which I believe is against state regulations. When there is a storm, our AC quits working for some reason because of the rain. It has caused extensive damage to my house. This is what happened to the ceiling— 4-6 years after the improper installation.

• I called Zimmermann on July 22nd after my thermostat shut off. Luke, the owner, came out that evening and found that the drain line needed to be cleared and the refrigerant was low. When he cleared the line, a large amount of gunk came through the sink in my guest bathroom, getting on the walls, counters, floor, and on my makeup. He knew it could happen and lightly put a towel down in the sink which did nothing when pressure went through the line to have it cleared. I cleaned everything up while wanting Luke to focus on the repair. Instead, he spent time selling me on their membership, offering to move the float switch and secure the attic drain line for free if I signed up, which he said would save me about $500. I declined because I wanted to see the quality of their work first. I was charged $700 for the service call, clearing the line, and two gallons of refrigerant—without determining why I was low on refrigerant. Ten days later, the thermostat shut off again because the float switch had dropped low. A technician corrected it at no charge. Eleven days later, the same issue happened again. Ruby told me there would be no service charge since it was the same issue of my thermostat shutting off. Luke came out, did nothing, and said the thermostat was glitching and recommended the same float-switch work he had previously offered for free. This time, however, he quoted $95 service fee plus additional repair costs of $748. I paid the $95 simply to have him leave. It does not sit right with me that I was offered free services to encourage me to purchase a membership, yet after declining, the same issue continued and I was then charged and even higher rate for work that was previously offered for free. I paid $95 today for essentially nothing, despite explaining that my AC was working and only the thermostat was shutting off. Zimmermann replaced this thermostat two years ago, and I don’t believe the underlying issue was ever properly addressed from their visits starting July 22nd when it first shut off. I am now close to $1000.00 in with no real resolution and I still have to figure out why I was low on refrigerant. The repeated problems and inconsistent charges make their work feel like a temporary fix rather than a solution, and I no longer feel confident that continuing to use them won’t become a money pit. I would rather use a company that stands behind their work and is thorough in addressing the problem and that is not Zimmermann by any means.

• I really liked the salesman who came to my house. I just couldn't bring myself to pay triple the price of the actual equipment (you can google the eq). I got 7 bids until I found 2 smaller companies that charge half the price. They were honest and fair wo overcharging. All of the companies I called in Best of SA gave me similar quotes. I believe they would have done good work but I saved money with another company. In the end I went with a recommendation from a friend and it was half the price.

• I had a wonderful experience with Zimmerman A/C & Heating. My AC stopped working at the hottest part of this summer season. From the outset, Zimmerman A/C & Heating showed a high level of professionalism. Ruby the receptionist was polite and considerate. She promptly scheduled for the technicians to come out. She called me the morning of my appointment to let me know the technician’s arrival time had changed slightly. Julian then called to say he would be there in 20 minutes. He diagnosed the problem as a refrigerant leak and bad compressor. Not a surprise since my HVAC was 20 years old. Julian also let me know my current HVAC unit was too small based on the square footage of my house. Luke was thorough, transparent about the replacement cost, and had me scheduled for a replacement HVAC within a couple of days. Julian and his crew promptly showed up as scheduled. They put cloth floor covering inside the house and quickly got to work. By midday they had cool air blowing through the vents. Julian and his crew made sure to clean up before they left. My house has never felt so comfortable (temperature wise). Zimmerman A/C & Heating were “Lifesavers!” Excellent customer service. I now have a HVAC company I can trust! I highly recommend them!

• Steven was amazing! Changed our filters, made sure everything was running smoothly, and even made friends with our 1 year old. He was super informative and went above and beyond. He dusted off our vents and even offered to sweep up dust. We were so pleased! UPDATE: this company continues to impress us. Our ac glitched last night and it was HOT. They called us within the hour to help troubleshoot the issue and got our ac working. Then they called again this morning to check on us. Plus when we were installing the ac in 2020, our original ac went out and they offered to bring us a small portable unit to borrow until our installation. This company is incredible!
