Joe Travino, made a house call and spent his time and effort trying to diagnose a problem with our kitchen vent hood. He determined the issue was at the fan connection to the duct and would require more destructive methods to fix the problem. Joe would not accept payment for his service because he could not fix the issue. I Would recommend Joe and Austin Duct & Vent for any duct problems.

I contacted Austin Duct and Vent for an estimate to replace my HVAC supply plenum. Someone came to inspect it, and I received the estimate two days later. Since then, I’ve been trying to schedule the work without success. Over the past 10 days, I’ve left a couple of voicemail on their automated system, left three messages with a representative, and sent two emails. I explicitly explained that I wanted the work done as soon as possible because I’m concerned about poor indoor air quality and its effect on my health. No one has contacted me. I’m disappointed by the lack of follow-up and would not recommend them based on this experience.

We called Austin Duct & Vent after our vent hood duct was damaged in the attic space during kitchen renovation. Joe Trevino was more than helpful, he found a way to shimmy into the attic space to inspect the extent of the damages. Joe took the time to explain our options to safely repair saving us another unexpected expense in this renovation. If you need help with duct work or vents, call Joe with Austin Duct & Vent, amazing customer service!

I cannot say enough incredible things about Joe Trevino with Austin Duct and Vent! He is super kind, diligent, and communicative. Our new home builder apparently never ran our dryer vent externally, and it had been blowing lint up under our attic HVAC unit for 6 years. Joe was very transparent with us from the beginning that this was going to be a large job, but worked with us to guide my husband through how to do some of the investigative work on his own, so it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. He was incredibly communicative with us via email, as we passed photos back and forth and talked about potential solutions. He came out to finish the job this morning, and he did phenomenal work! I finally have a working dryer again! Thank you SO much, Joe!

I just had Joe Trevino from Austin Duct & Vent out to check my dryer vent. He was here for an hour and checked everything - the attic, roof, the vent. No issues with the vent (it's the dryer) and no charge. Great guy and will be recommending him to clients and friends. Highly recommend!!

Because our dryer duct is more than 50’ to the outside we have it cleaned annually. Very professional technician, Hector Acosta, was thorough and efficient. We’ll ask for him again next year.

James and team at Better Service were a pleasure to work with on my home addition. They were the only one of the 5 HVAC service providers that understood my desire for a heat pump, and the only one to properly size the unit (using Manual J) as part of the estimate rather than basing it on square footage of the home. When I declined some additional services, there was no pressure or sales tactics to change my mind.

I am so grateful to Joey at Better Service Co. I called them this morning, Joey came in and wired my furnace properly, and he checked out my thermostat, which another company told me was malfunctioning and wanted to charge me a lot to replace it. Joey explained what had probably happened and assured me the thermostat is fine and recognizes both stages of my furnace. He also doubled checked my outside unit to confirm my AC was properly wired. Joey is very knowledgeable and friendly, and I feel I’ve found a trustworthy source for my HVAC needs. I highly recommend Joey and Better Service Co. I should also mention Better Service Co. is one of the contractors for Austin Energy’s weatherization assistance program. They did a fantastic job adding insulation, modifying duct work, and making sure my house is as efficient as possible with regard to energy usage.

Mike was on time and thorough. Let me know I had a potential problem with the vent on the roof and noticed I had recently had my roof replaced. He suggested calling the roofer and he ended up saving me money when he could have offered to fix it for a cost. Thanks Highly recommend

We originally hired another local company to clean our dryer vent. We thought the job was done with the exception that they could not provide a cover. A second company that I have used in the past referred us to Better Service Co to install a magnetic flap to keep the birds from going back in the vent and nesting. This also came with a warranty that if for some reason a creature returned, they would come back out and clean it at no charge. When I contacted Better Service Co., I explained that we had just had our dryer vent cleaned the day before by the other company. Normally, they would have included the dryer cleaning as part of their service fees but were agreeable to waiving this service. Upon inspection, though, they were able to see that the vent was not, in fact, cleaned entirely. They had to come back out the next day to clean the vent since they had not intended to clean it with their initial visit. Mike pulled out more bird nesting and even lint (which proved it was not cleaned correctly since we had kept the vent sealed shut and not been able to run the dryer still). I was shocked at the amount that was pulled out. The upgraded vent has since been installed, and a camera view ensured the job was complete. Something the first company was not able to do. I was trusting of the first company because they showed me a vent with airflow. I would have had no way of knowing the job was not done though had we not called this company to install the flap. Additionally, when I went back to the first company to let them know about the concern and ask for a PARTIAL refund (not even half of what we paid them), Better Service Co. was cooperative in sharing all the photos and evidence of what was pulled by their technician during the second cleaning. Better Service Co was true professionals and I would refer them again without hesitation. Pictured below is what they pulled out after the first company said the job was done.

We had our HVAC system replaced earlier this year by Better Service Co and we’re very happy with the work. It’s running cold and silent! Joe, Joey, and the crew were great to work with. I highly recommend!

We recently had our dryer hoses cleaned by Better Service Company at the recommendation of our local appliance repair company. The repair technician advised dryer vent and hose cleaning annually and said Better Service Company was the most thorough company in the area for this job. The Better Service Co. tech arrived promptly, did a diligent cleaning job and suggested getting a shorter metal connector from our dryer to the wall to reduce the chance of lint blockages, which he installed the same day. We were happy with his work and will use Better Service Co. for future dryer vent cleanings.
