• So have being a customer of there's for 10 plus years. Then my furnace was not working they came in gave me a quote under 10k. Then the next day they send a quote for a mark up of over 15k. I decide to go with a better quote from Toronto for 6.5k. So for its being a year and I have called 4 times for Them to do some service because they happen to know a few people that works for enbridge and they have dropped me because I decided note to have them replaced my furnace for the marked up cost. • After Enbridge turned my 80 year old mothers gas off leaving her with no heat, I called Barrie Heating & Gas. Peter was quickly dispatched and he was awesome, such a nice guy, professional and did an excellent job finding the issue and helping us get our gas system restored and up to code. He even came back after hours on his own time to replace the furnace valve at 9pm so mom had heat that night instead of leaving her in the cold. Who does that? Peter does, that's who. • I had the very unfortunate experience of meeting with their salesman Michael Johne. As any responsible home owner would do, I was gathering a few quotes for my furnace replacement. (I should note that my furnace is not usable at this time and it’s January, and maybe I also need to report that I’m a woman). I had been without heat since 4pm the previous day and needed a replacement asap. Michael arrived at my home to quote me, at the same time I did have another company onsite who was also giving me a quote. As I opened the door I was greeted with “Do you even still want to see me?”. I responded with ‘Yes, as a homeowner I am gathering a few quotes’. He started inside my door while rolling his eyes and mumbled something. I said ‘Do you even want to quote me?’ He replied with “No mam I don’t” and walked out. I opened the door again to let him know I would be following up with a review and a call to his workplace. The receptionist was very nice, the man who came to my home to inspect my furnace the previous day was extremely polite and friendly. It is very unfortunate that they have a person like this working for their company.

• We had an issue of a gas leak in our home and used a different company to determine why it happened. They could not find the issue and told us nothing was wrong. We were not satisfied with that answer and contacted this company. Peter came to our home, and he was beyond excellent. He spent a great deal of time trying to determine the issue and explained everything thoroughly throughout the entire process. In the end, he discovered what the problem was and determined the solution that was needed to prevent this gas leak from happening again. • This is going to be a long review, but these guys deserve it. I called up Barrie Heating & AC when my furnace died. Peter was very friendly and informative. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me my options. I decided to go with a new furnace because my old one was over 20 years old and had been giving me problems for the last few years. They sent Michael over the same day to talk to me about my choices with a new furnace. I am usually on my guard with anyone from sales but I can tell Michael was an old school down to earth guy who just wanted to make sure I got the best bang for my buck and also warned me about models that would be overkill for my needs rather than pushing the highest priced options to me, he even took a look at my old thermostat and offered to include a new one for free without my asking, greatly appreciated. Derek and Peter came the next day, did the install quickly and professionally and after they finished, Derek even called up Enbridge on my behalf because our gas pressure was below standard and talked with the Enbridge tech over the phone when he arrived to help get it resolved. Finally, Peter came by one more time the next day to install a pressure release water run off pipe on my hot water tank because they noticed it was missing, free of charge, even though they weren't the company who installed the hot water tank. For as long as I'm a Barrie resident, you guys will be our first go to company for all my HVAC needs.
