Brandon and Shane were out to our home the day before Thanksgiving....what I'm suspecting was a busy day. They arrived on time and ready to go. They were polite, conscientious and attentive. Brandon changed the filter on our humidifier and inspected the furnace as well as the head pump. Both of these gentlemen presented themselves as professional and knowledgable. As our is a hybrid system, it took a little longer to inspect. I took the time to stop by the shop and to inform Todd (the office manager) and Deb (the dispatcher) of the attention provided. First I will say Bills phone service and technician were kind and professional they were on time and prompt with service. That being said, I called because I saw the $59 maintenance fee for a unit service and the good reviews online. When I called I had let them know over the last two years our 6 year old ac unit had really slowed down and seemed to be struggling to put out cold air. I wanted to see if a service for the machine, since it had never been cleaned or inspected, would help. The technician took it apart and let me know my option was to buy a $12,000 new unit and new furnace when my furnace works perfectly. We were not prepared to pay that much. I asked the tech if there were any other options for us and he told me no. My husband did a little research and cleaned our unit and cleared some thick debris that was on the condenser and our AC has been running great ever since. It makes us so discouraged that first we didn’t get the until “service” and also that the first thing they did was try and sell us instead of giving us all options. Also I repeatedly asked for a unit service and we don’t feel we got that at all. If they helped us we with a small fix we would be more apt to trust the company and call them in the future and now we will never. Such a small thing as my husband hosing down the condenser vs spending $12,000.00!!!
