We had a last minute issue with our Heat Pump with a warm weekend upon us. We called Ed , he came right over assessed the issue and got it resolved. Professional, reliable and excellent work. Could not recommend them any higher! Thank you!

The Blueridge team came in and cleaned or replaced and calibrated two gas fireplaces, our air pump system and several expired smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. They also replaced and re-set my furnace motor. They are very helpful in showing me how to re-set the automatic thermostat so that the house stays at a nice, even temperature. The work they do is very professional and responsive to homeowners needs. I feel much safer and cozier in my home after their visit. I recommend them.

Many years ago our mini split unit suddenly made a horrible noise then screeched to a halt. We contacted a largish HVAC company who, after maybe 10 minutes told us it was not repairable and that it would need to be replaced. It felt like a sales call, not a service call. Not satisfied with this an electrician friend suggested we contact this guy called Ed Royall. Ed came out, took a look and told us yes indeed it was repairable. I think he had the parts ordered that afternoon and repairs were promptly undertaken to our complete satisfaction. Fast forward to 2025 and our now aged system was again causing problems. This time Ed’s advice was that it had reached the end of its useful life and that replacement was the best option. We did not hesitate to take his advice. We trust Blueridge. They know their business, will clearly outline issues, discuss options and do excellent work. There are no surprises.

Ed has been servicing my 1990's furnace and air conditioning for several years. This year I decided to replace them when the furnace failed at a critical time. Ed was able to recommend economical models for the furnace/A-C and was able to replace the entire system promptly. His team was on-site quickly, worked diligently and cleanly. Everything was installed over 2 days. The final bill was the same as the initial quote. I have no hesitation in recommending Blueridge for furnace and A-C needs. I am looking forward to Ed servicing the system for years to come.

Don’t get RIPPED OFF like I did, folks I had my heat pump installed last spring starting in March. When we originally met with this company, I made it very clear that we had just completed a massive renovation, and that aesthetics were incredibly important to this installation and not negotiable - What was installed was absolutely janky (Please see photos). Random pieces of plywood were shoved in between the house and the piping system to force it all to work. - Piping was installed by my front door just to save himself a couple of bucks instead of moving the piping around so that it did not affect our curb appeal. - Our floors were permanently ruined - The drywall is not properly sanded, or the cover of the unit doesn’t cover the damage that they did (see pics) - Our office unit was installed and left uneven. When asked to correct this, they were unable to hide the damage to the wall gaps showing But unfortunately, the worst of it is that they will not guarantee their own work and come back to fix what is broken. My husband and I spent nearly $35,000. A few months ago, the unit in the master bedroom started making terribly loud clicking noises several times an hour making it impossible to sleep (video available upon request). There’s clearly something wrong with the unit. And although it has been less than a year, they will not come back and fix the unit without charging me even more money. They do not guarantee their own work or their products within the same year of installation and this is just absolutely unacceptable I will not be hiring another company to come service my poorly Installed and defective unit units

Ed at Blueridge has been servicing our furnace for over 20 years. He has kept the furnace - first installed by a previous owner in the early 80s - running, changing bearings and burners as needed. Each year for the past 10 we have asked him about replacing it, and he has indicated that we’re just as well to keep this one going. Then this fall, he told us he wouldn’t be able to get parts for it any more. So we asked for his recommendation. He and his team did an awesome job installing a new high efficiency two-stage furnace, combined with a heat pump. He handled all the details of helping us get Fortis’ rebate (energy audit, electrical service, etc). It works beautifully. They kept their work area clean. He answered all our questions and made some changes we asked for without hesitation (and for a very reasonable extra cost). No hesitation recommending Ed and Blueridge.

We asked Ed for his opinion and a second quote before installing a heat pump and we are very glad we did. In the end, we went with a mini-split design that gives us the most flexibility in our three story home. The price was good value, the installation was professional, and they nicely accommodated our requests for changes from the initial quote. This was important, since we weren't 100% clear on how big the interior units would be until they arrived and a couple of the initial proposed locations were not ideal. I would have no hesitation recommending Blueridge Refrigeration and Air Conditioning for your HVAC needs.

Prior to installing our heat pump one year ago, Ed had serviced our gas furnace for many years. We have always found him to be very reliable and available and his work has always been of very good quality. He is a pleasure to deal with and his advice has always been very sound. When we decided to replace our furnace with a heat pump, we did not hesitate to ask Ed to do the work for us. The work was done efficiently and in a timely fashion and he worked with our gardener to install the outdoor unit in an unobtrusive manner. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. I recommend Ed unconditionally.

I was with Ed for a long time. His rate is good but he charges 88$ for service charge even this is not a first time check up. I understand most trades man charge that for the time travel to a customer not knowing if the job is worth of the time. But I still get charged for this after more than 5 years of using his service. As a customer we do have tire right to ask why but he asked me to find someone else. That is ok as we have many good tech who will treat long time customer well even it is a small job. Small jobs also will turn into big jobs if long time customers will be treated right.

Ed installed a Fujitsu ductless air conditioning system into two rooms of our house. He is very professional and does neat work. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of his work. The Fujitsu ductless system was perfect for our house and the noise level inside and out was more than acceptable. Robert White

Don't walk, RUN!! We've used Ed for years but..... something has changed. Omg! Horrible workmanship (didn't pass inspection) passive aggressive attitude? (left such a mess of purple primer/glue all over the wall and hot water heater) Gas leak and he was unreachable, too many things went so wrong, unbelievable! Four times to fix mistakes, two inspections? Today City inspector passed! I wish him well but I hope I never have to see him again!

As our furnace stopped working and we were not comfortable with the first opinion of another company (Pacific Coast) that suggested we needed a new furnace even though ours was only 6 years old, Ed was quick to arrange a time to come, and gave us an honest assessment of the cost of the part which was almost half of what the other company were quoting for the broken inducer fan. He had the part in stock, and installed within a day. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Ed was knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly honest about what was needed.
